Mark Lucey is a 45-year-old freelance photographer from Mt. Beauty, Australia. He has been honing his skills for the last 25 years through reading and experimenting. Landscapes are his favorite, and he enjoys capturing long exposures in low lighting. Although he has no published works, his passion speaks for itself.
Story Behind:
I was on my way to Curl Curl Beach, a man made beach bath; a 45 minute drive from my place. I kept glancing towards the raging ocean which was rippling with mighty waves. Winter storms had been lashing the region for the past two days, creating a perfect mood in the sky. Today, I felt like I could end up making a seascape masterpiece. I had been learning a lot overtime, developing my understanding in the style of long exposure shots.
I parked my car and started unpacking my gear. Last but not the least, I took my trustee umbrella. This umbrella had taken me through all kinds of weathers so I always carry it with me. As I walked up the steps leading up to the bath, I looked up and was astonished by the view that met me. The scene looked incredible, the blue waters over flowing out over edge of the bath like white smoke matching with the froth on the waves in the sea. Incredible...

Durant la sortida del diumenge aquest preciós exemplar de papallona va captar la nostra atenció durant bastant estona, ja que encara que volava esgotada, estava molt inquieta . Al final ens va permetre captar tota la seva bellesa.
ESP:
Durante la salida del domingo este precioso ejemplar de mariposa captó nuestra atención durante bastante rato, ya que aunque volaba agotada, estaba muy inquieta . Al final nos permitió captar toda su belleza.

Va ser construït en 1959 per la Confederació Hidrogràfica del Xúquer, amb un import de 32.228.256,42 ptes, per a resoldre el problema plantejat per la falta d'aigües per a regs en les hortes de Sagunt.
S'ubica aigües amunt de la Font dels Banys, en terme de Xèrica, junt amb la carretera de Gaibiel; l'alçària de la presa ve limitada per la rasant de la via del ferrocarril, a fi que les màximes avingudes no inunden l'explanació de les vies.
Fue construido en 1959 por la Confederación Hidrográfica del Júcar, con un importe de 32.228.256,42 ptas, para resolver el problema planteado por la falta de aguas para riegos en las huertas de Sagunto.
Se ubica aguas arriba de la Fuente de los Baños, en término de Jérica, junto a la carretera de Gaibiel; la altura de la presa viene limitada por la rasante de la vía del ferrocarril, con el fin de que las máximas avenidas no inunden la explanación de las vías.
The Green Heron that flew up and almost landed on top of me wasn't my only encounter with them on that day!! Not only did I come across a few more but they were very cooperative and all willing to do a bit of posing!! This is another of my little green buddies that I found doing a bit of spear fishing on Armand Bayou!

I had to make a very difficult decision recently. With the economy
sucking royally my freelance gigs have almost all but dried up, save
for a single, very loyal client. In addition, energy prices for this
winter are going up by some 20% (thanks, Pepco). For the past number
of months I've watched my electricity bill slowly climb, to around
$300 for a loft apartment.
I finally decided to start crunching some numbers and found the
culprit: my Mac Pro. It takes about 600W of power to run the machine,
which is far, far more than just about every electronic item in our
home.
So, I decided to sell it. The plan for now? Use my MacBook Pro until
Apple starts shipping the LED Cinema Displays. Pick up one or two of
those. Then, hopefully in the next few weeks, the iMacs will get
revised. At that point, I'll buy one and use that as my primary machine.
I just no longer need the power (or the power consumption) the Mac Pro
provides. Do I regret it? Maybe just a little. But I think in the long
term I'll be much happier, even if I no longer have bragging rights.
That said, a gentleman is coming tomorrow with $6,500 cash and is
taking the entire set up. Here's what she looks like on her last night
in my home, just about ready to be prepped for delivery to her new
owner.
