The Green Heron that flew up and almost landed on top of me wasn't my only encounter with them on that day!! Not only did I come across a few more but they were very cooperative and all willing to do a bit of posing!! This is another of my little green buddies that I found doing a bit of spear fishing on Armand Bayou!

La mesquita blava o del sultà Ahmed (en turc Sultanahmet Camii), a Istanbul, Turquia, és una obra de Sedefhar Mehmet Ağa, un deixeble de l'arquitecte Mimar Sinan. Està situada enfront d'església de Santa Sofia separades ambdues per un bell espai enjardinat, i és l'única a Istanbul que posseïx 6 minarets.
La mesquita va ser construïda durant el regnat del catorzè sultà otomà, Ahmet I, entre 1609 i 1616, en temps de decadència otomana. És la mesquita més gran i fastuosa d'Istanbul. La mesquita va ser construïda juntament amb una madrassa, escola alcorànica, un asil, un centre comercial d'artesania, un kervansaray, allotjament per a camells, una font i un külliye, complex soci-religiós.

La Mezquita Azul o Mezquita del Sultán Ahmed (en turco, Sultanahmed Camii) de Estambul, es obra de Sedefhar Mehmet Ağa, discípulo del arquitecto Sinan. Está situada frente a la Iglesia de Santa Sofía, separadas ambas por un hermoso espacio ajardinado, y es la única en Estambul que posee 6 alminares.
Su magnífico exterior no le hace sombra a su suntuoso interior, en el que una verdadera sinfonía de bellísimos mosaicos azules de Izmir, dan a este espacio una atmósfera muy especial.

Glasgow band, Freelance Liars. Their debut EP, Good & Gone, has just been released on iTunes.
The boring photo details: it's a bokeh panorama stitched from 37 shots taken wide open on the Nikkor 85mm F1.8. Before cropping, the stitched file was 409 MP with an effective focal length of 25mm and an effective aperture of 0.53.
A bit of a change from the usual landscapes but, after some extensive PP (which pushed my PC memory a little beyond what it's accustomed to dealing with), I'm reasonably pleased with the results.

Underoath is Post-Hardcore/Metalcore Christian band based in Tampa, Florida and formed in 1998.
AP - A blockage caused progress to be stopped on the tracks yesterday. A stop sign was knocked over, likely the result of a vehicle collision. Damage was minimal to the sign post, and crews were in later that day to hoist the stop sign back into place. The mirror is expected to make a full recovery.
The only witness, a local warehouse that was sitting nearby at the time, declined to speak to reporters. Officials suspect driver error while backing out of the parking lot bordering the tracks. The investigation is ongoing.
