The Green Heron that flew up and almost landed on top of me wasn't my only encounter with them on that day!! Not only did I come across a few more but they were very cooperative and all willing to do a bit of posing!! This is another of my little green buddies that I found doing a bit of spear fishing on Armand Bayou!

I had to leave the house early today because of my work. It was a long planned appointment and although I don't really feel well yet I had to go, as a freelancer you don't have much choice. I drove through a lovely landscape but sadly the mist more or less swallowed all nice the autumn colours. When I came across this flock of sheep I decided to make a short stop for photos though. It was kind of suicidal as their pasture was next to a heavily frequented road. I only took a few quick shots and then headed back to the safety of my car.

Coming up with freelance units provides the opportunity to add all sorts of detail parts, so the designation reflects units which have retained the original 20-cylinder 645 with mid-life electrical upgrades
.
These units have been on the bench since at least 2018; the GP35 is still unfinished.
Glasgow band, Freelance Liars. Their debut EP, Good & Gone, has just been released on iTunes.
The boring photo details: it's a bokeh panorama stitched from 37 shots taken wide open on the Nikkor 85mm F1.8. Before cropping, the stitched file was 409 MP with an effective focal length of 25mm and an effective aperture of 0.53.
A bit of a change from the usual landscapes but, after some extensive PP (which pushed my PC memory a little beyond what it's accustomed to dealing with), I'm reasonably pleased with the results.

for a girl who doesn't like flying machines, it seems i've done several gigs which had me in the air, hanging out windows trying to get the perfect shot while telling the pilot how to bank the plane. or chopper.

Anika Maaß is a freelance photographer from Nuremberg, Germany.
