Well, that's it for my city-captures of historic Saint Augustine, Florida. It was our 7th consecutive year here on the 4th of July. It's always fun! I got 50 keepers. All taken in one day, and then it took me the entire month of July to post them. Hope you enjoyed them as much as I did capturing them! I still have one nice Saint Augustine sunrise to post and also a nice grouping of avian captures, also taken in Saint Augustine. And then after that I have a huge-backlog of South Florida sunsets that I still have to work on. Some really good ones! But for now it's on to August in this tense and stressful year. And if the the virus wasn't enough, we will be waking up tomorrow to a Category 2 Hurricane just off our shores! What a year! Hoping everything is good by you, where-ever in the world you might be. Thank you for looking. Best Regards from South Florida U.S.A.

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2014!

(My texture)

Early in the day, before the city wakes up, this part of it is lost among the monstrous reality that never seizes to stop..

Using the same exact scene that I uploaded like two days ago but... eh, what the hell. The WW2 builders do it all the time.

And I liked this photo, so, yeah.

“The freedom of birds is an insult to me.”

― Cormac McCarthy

I hate envy. It is evil and I truly thank God that I've never envied others in my life BUT I sometimes tend to envy the birds or let say wish I have their capacity to fly high and to fly freely...to swim in the air and to let its power carry me aimlessly. I believe freedom is the most precious gift man can ask God for and though it comes in many kinds and forms, the core remains the same. Still, it is always relative as long as we as we are here on earth.

This is an old photograph that I took last year when I noticed a red batman-shaped kite in the sky.

Sorry but I've been extremely busy over the last couple of days. I'll do my best to catch up.

Honestly wishing you all a very blessed holidays...

Merry Christmas to all of you in advance!

My new obsession is a sailboat. Not that I like sea that much, but I love the freedom implied. Being able to travel on a confortable boat, with no noisy neighbors or telemarketing calls. Just water all around, stopping city after city, getting supplies, living just to live. Must be an amazing sensation. And of course, sunrises in the middle of the ocean must be spetacular :-)

Paster replica of the Statue of Freedom. The original sits atop the U.S. Capitol dome. This version can be found in the Capitol Visitor's Center.

Inspired by Brooke Shaden's incredible work and under her tutelage (love that word), I present my very first entry to Flickr. Olivia Clemens in "Alice's Freedom".

A line of greylag geese flying across the rising sun I could hear them before I could see them luck plays a great part in photography!

When we think about a dream or a wish, we often think about money, health. But what about freedom? Liberty is not less important than health or happiness, just think for a moment, will we be more happy or healthy if we don say what we want, if we don't think what's really happening, if we don't act like we do, if we are not us? Will we enjoy life then? Don't let anybody or anything or yourself turns you into a fictional reality, we're not robots, we are the actions of our thoughts. We are free to be free. So if I could make a wish I would wish I never lost freedom.

This photo is a representation of freedom and independence. Yes it is a car but stop and think for a moment of all the adventures you can have because you have a car. You have the freedom to just jump into your car and go where ever you want to and are not dependent on anyone else to take you where you need to go. If you are feeling down you can jump in the car, put music on loud and go for a drive. How fortunate some of us are to have this ability to be both free and independent.

valamiért nagyon szeretem ezt a képet

"Wait for the rivers to run in the opposite direction in the same way that every free-born man is happy to be locked up within precise limits without the freedom to go where he wants"

So happy - At least i'm free for 2 weeks :D

I rescued this dragonfly while kayaking this morning, I scooped her out of the water and she stayed on my hand while she dried out .. eventually she flew away... I named her Freedom.

So nice that the bee has freedom to pick her sweetest things...

Freedom Crossing Monument is located on the bank of the Niagara River in Lewiston, New York, and honors the courage of fugitive slaves who sought a new life of freedom in Canada, and to the local volunteers who protected and helped them on their journey across the Niagara River. It was dedicated on October 14, 2009.

When the numbers don't add up, vacations remain a pipe dream. In Italy, 31.4% of people cannot afford a week away from home. Real incomes are falling, the prices of tourist services are rising, and vacations are getting shorter. The freedom to travel is becoming a privilege, not a possibility for everyone.
