"FREEDOM"

We are all captive, mostly repressed all chained up tethered, feeling sadly oppressed ....

All we want is .... warm breeze in our hair, sun on our backs not much to be fare ....

Gently strolling the arboretum,

white doves fly up!

now that's freedom ....

A pick-a-me-up ....

The birds fly high, soaring so free .... "Oh, how I wish thy could be me "....

This image is only just over 2 inches x 2 inches, so well within the MM 3 x 3 inch maximum guideline.

Each link of this old rusty chain measures 2 inches in length.

This chain is really strong and used in the past to support car engine removals using a hoist.

Graugänse fliegen dem nächsten Abenteuer entgegen.

Danke, dass ich den Anfang eures Fluges miterleben durfte. :-)

Tired, exhausted, almost out of breath, the moment finally arrives where, after the hard battle and the conquest, freedom comes.

freedom to fly and feel the air everywhere! Sète in the Mediterranean

Randomly taken somewhere in Singapore.

Freedom (Latin libertas) is understood in a broad sense as the possibility to choose between different options and to make decisions without being forced to do so. In modern philosophy, theology and law, the term generally designates a state of autonomy of a subject. Source

For the sake of truth and freedom, one sometimes has to defy the usual rules of good manners.

Freedom

Sometimes freedom is in the air

You can feel it

Why wait for it - or look for it

It has always been here

It belongs to your soul

so you never will find it outside

In contact with nature, to understand the meaning of what we have lost

Here's an overall photo of the Reading T-1 2101 cosmetically restored to her American Freedom Train livery (well, one of the liveries, they played around with some looks). The loco was painted like this in 1975 and ran across several states in '75 and '76. This loco, Number 1, was assigned to chores in the Northeast while other locos handled the rest of the 48 contiguous states.

The cosmetically restored loco looks wonderful after decades in the B&O Railroad Museum's parking lot in Baltimore. The paint was fading, and parts were rusting away; it looked pretty sad just a few years ago.

I noticed right away that the wrong-sized eagle sits atop the headlight. But it turns out a friend of mine has already made a correct replacement for the loco.

A few horses, stormy clouds and a pensive lake beneath lofty mountains, all inspire one to aspire for freedom: the freedom from smaller possessions of life, thinner thoughts of luxury and darker pursuits of burgaining in human relationship.

Kyagar Tso ( altitude : 4,700 mts), one of the highest altitude lakes in Ladakh, is less frequented by travellers. The idyllilc presence, absolute solitude and whispering cold breeze make one absolutely free from a pitiful life.

Took my son and daughter-in-law to NYC. Got a chance to visit Ground Zero and the new Freedom Tower.

There is no greater feeling of freedom than the open road. This was taken on Natchez Trace Parkway, a footpath in the 1800's traveled by traders, soldiers, and Indians.

Freedom

Old Brunswick County Jail

We can go out the front door or out the back gate and be walking in the bush in minutes; we don't take it for granted but it is a wonderful freedom, especially in these days of restrictions.
