... there were truckloads of very tiny bubbles! :-)
Now, this was certainly something else.
Almost half of the square was covered waist-deep in foam...
And as you can see, people were thrilled and totally immersed (both figuratively and literally) in the ... happening. Children as well as adults.
There was lots of laughter, foam tossing and wet feet (and - even more important - wet T-shirts - see bottom right ;) ). Some people even rode bikes through the foam.
With techno music pounding from the speakers and performers dancing mixed among the spectators, it all turned into a rave party for a while. And when all was over, performers were happy to oblige and posed along whomever wished to be photographed with them.
One surely must admit one thing about the French - they most definitely know how to throw a party! :-)

What I was attempting here was catching the birds clinging to the concrete post whilst waiting their turn.
Who knows? Maybe Marshall Applewhite was right.
ABOUT PROJECTOR PROJECT
While Vermillion Gallery was between exhibits, its bare white walls offered themselves irresistibly as surfaces for a phantasmagoria of projections. There was no particular theme.
A dozen or so projectionists in various formats--slide, super8, 16mm, overhead, invented optical machines, digital, and even the lowly filmstrip--turned the blank white walls into an immersive improvisational cinematic experiment.
