ICA hosted artist Jacolby Satterwhite, writer Andrew Durbin, and music producer Nick Weiss (of Nightfeelings) for an expansive evening of self-discovery and performative poetics! Attendees enjoyed art, music, food and drinks, exhibition tours, and fun takeaways.

I have found it better to photograph the moon at dusk..not as contrasty..try it out folks..i have uploade this shot at 125kb..view large and note the detail..I just love those craters...

Today, the fabulous ~Maitexu~, aka Maite, aka Maite Mouse, finishes her 365. It's a sad day for me on one hand, because we've gone through a large majority of this journey together...but it's also such a happy day because she is now done with this beast of burden and can live the rest of her life happy and peaceful-like (hehe).
For my tribute to her, I chose to copycat a shot from what was, for me, one of the most fun days I ever had on Flickr. We played FGR that day and the group choice was Attention Whores (a group we both deserved to be in ;). Her shot on the billboard made her look like a total rockstar, although as hot as she was up there, she still doesn't have as many comments as I do on my shot that day *snicker* It took forever to find a billboard worth using last night as I drove around, but I finally got something...not the best night shot I've ever done, but it's the message that counts.

Dear Maite,
Thank you for being such a wonderful, fun, sweet and supportive friend for the last 305 days of my life. You don't know this, but other than some personal friends, you were the first person to comment on one of my 365 shots! I've had so much fun sharing almost an entire year with you here, and I know that whatever you decide to do from here on out you will be fabulous at. You're an amazing artist, an incredible photographer, a loving mother, an awesome wife and most of all a dear friend. Good luck to you in all that you do!!!

Artist and DJ Juliana Huxtable and Philadelphia-based sound and performance art duo SCRAAATCH presented an evening of frayed binaries, deconstructed soundscapes, and experimental club dynamics.
Attendees enjoyed delicious snacks from Manakeesh Bakery & Cafe and HubBub Coffee; they also captured the night’s ambiance with free take home photo booth selfies.

The turtles at Reed Canal Park appear to have a free for all in this pic! They climb all over each other when they think someone is going to throw food into the water.
