This picture illustrates how I feel today ... with big stuff happening in my life, my protection is rather fragile and inadequate, and might crumble.

When the Fragile Fern fiddleheads emerge, it's spring for me. This is the earliest I can remember them - early March has been warm this year
In memory of the glory warm time this year. In my garden I found this lonely rose on a rosebush without leaves. The flower was hanging upside down. So it was protected from first winter frost. I have picked and placed it in a pot where grass grows abnormally green like spring. Now the rose bloom again here. I have placed the camera in a low perspective position. The rain was stooped during my session and the sky becomes brighter. A view into back light make colors fresh. Now I could imagine warm time is here...

Another picture in the series "fragile cage". With the series I want to portray highly sensitivity. We live in a a world that can be overstimulating, and overwhelms highly sensitive persons. Contemplation and nature often helps to recharge.

The direct translation of this phrase comes from the Italian word “pignatta”. it is thought that this is where the term piñata came from because the original ones had been from clay pots. Eventually they made their way to the Maya and Aztec and then evolved into the papier-mâché that we know of today.
Blindfold- not knowing what’s going on exactly
This piece is my version of a piñata; the participant still has to rip open the object in order to receive the reward but, some things have been changed.
The material used is very important; the paper is recycled newspaper to echo the material on the outside that normally is the inside of the piñatas that we know. Inside each “bubble” is brightly colored tissue paper that reflects the normally outsides of the piñata. I’ve reversed this leaving even more of a surprise for the viewer, drab outside bright, colorful and treat filled inside.

Voigtlander Bessa-R rangefinder, Fuji Neopan 400, toned in Lightroom (the original wall was red and white). Developed using a 2-bath home-brewed developer (TD-200 from Anchell and Troop). Still fine tuning it though…a little over-developed around the edges.
