Beaverdams Pond
Fragile papershells from Beaverdams Pond. The largest one still had the deceased animal inside and almost certainly perished from exposure/freezing, it shell was damaged extracting it from the frozen mud. Of the three small ones, two are very fresh and one (middle one) is fairly fresh.
Please do watch & listen to the Little Sparrow
aka Edith Piaf singing Hymne à L'Amour and be thoroughly enchanted by her voice (even if you dont understand French!)...
The blue sky can tumble down upon us
And the earth can also collapse
It doesn't matter, if you love me
I don't care about the entire world
As long as love floods my mornings
As long as my body trembles beneath your hand
These problems don't matter
My love, since you love me
I would go to the end of the earth
I would dye my hair blonde
I would go take down the moon
I would go steal a fortune
If you asked it of me
I would disown my country
I would disown my friends
If you asked it of me
People can have a good laugh at me
I would do anything
If you asked it of me
If one day life tears you from me
If you die that you be far from me
It doesn't matter, if you love me
Because, me, I will die also
We will have eternity for ourselves
In the great blue immensity
In the sky, no more problems
My love, do you believe we love each other
God reunites those who love each other

While I love this long necklace, it breaks nearly every time I wear it. I’m not much of a crafter, so repairing it is a pain.
To keep this fragile necklace intact, I usually put it in my pocket for my commute and any activity more vigorous than a walk to the restroom. I managed to NOT break it on this wearing!

My new ceramic and acrylic figurine, Tink's Glittery Gift by Lenox. It is part of the Disney Showcase Collection. I bought her in the Main Street China Closet Shop in Disneyland, for $49.95, on December 1, 2013. The piece is 3 1/2'' H x 4'' W x 5'' D. It is one of three Lenox Tinker Bell figurines for sale currently in Disneyland, all in the same series, of which I have previously uploaded several photos. I think it is by far the best looking one of the trio, and it also happens to be the least expensive.
Tinker Bell is sitting cross legged, next to a large acrylic diamond. She is clasping her hands, has an adorable cherubic expression on her face, with a slightly naughty smirk. The figure and base are ceramic, with a smooth glazed surface except for her very pale skin and light blonde hair. Her wings are iridescent and glittery at the edges, she has a gold ribbon at the base of her bun, the pom poms on her shoes are like large pearls. The piece is perfectly designed and executed. The only thing I can think of that would make it better would be if the diamond were made of glass instead of acrylic. But that would make the piece much more expensive, heavy and fragile.
While I was taking a walk in the sun today, this little leaf feel onto my shoe (yes, I walk that slow).

We, humans, are fragile beings. We are easily overwhelmed by strong emotions of anger, anxiety, depression and so on, and exit out of it seems too narrow. The fragility is often expressed in forms of violence. Such act only leaves scratches, dirts and dusts in, on, and around ourselves.

I am trying to make viewers feel uncomfortable.
During the 10 seconds of open shutter, hand was still for about 3 seconds, moved back and forth trembling the board for about 5 seconds, and came back to the original spot for the remaining time.
Brought out the textures of scratches and sawdusts as much as I could in PP.
On July 25, 2011, ICESCAPE scientists packed up fragile lab equipment as the icebreaker ship steamed home after finishing collecting science data.
The ICESCAPE mission, or "Impacts of Climate on Ecosystems and Chemistry of the Arctic Pacific Environment," is NASA's two-year shipborne investigation to study how changing conditions in the Arctic affect the ocean's chemistry and ecosystems. The bulk of the research takes place in the Beaufort and Chukchi seas in summer 2010 and 2011.

Whenever I open one of these old watches, I feel how fragile we and our creations are. One tiny bit of dust, a little spot of rust, some stress on the wrong spot and everything will stop working.
We are not much different than this watch.
We are fragile.
The earth, the animals, the birds, the fish, the people.
We are all fragile.
Let's take better care.

These are one of our smallest damselflies, at about 1 inch long. The color can vary from lemon yellow to light green and occasionally blue, though I mostly see the yellow color around here. Ischnura posita, Coenagrionidae. Central IL, Summer 2012.

"The sun was warm but the wind was chill.
You know how it is with an April day.
When the sun is out and the wind is still,
You're one month on in the middle of May.
But if you so much as dare to speak,
a cloud come over the sunlit arch,
And wind comes off a frozen peak,
And you're two months back in the middle of March."
- Robert Frost

And all its beauty
Until you can be open to fully feel pain
In all its sorrow
In the strength of my heart
I saw the fragility of yours” ~ Christine Evangelou
