Day 51 of 365 days.
Letter F Fragile- vulnerably delicate, as in appearance.
Her bones were brittle as her soul was. She dreamed everyday about just falling apart. But never could come to such conclusion. She was fragile on the outside, but was strong on the inside. She fought & fought for everything she had & now her soul is held high. She is strong. She no longer is fragile.
This is basically up for you to interpret. Kinda of a personal piece in some sense.
I've been lacking in getting really good concepts. Life is just in the way. Tomorrow I hope to take something really personal to let out emotions because I can tell I'm bottling up. I just want to write & write my feelings out about life. Ugh, what school does to my soul.. Anyway, today was overall a decent day. I helped at this festival at my church by taking pictures was nice

Magical misty morning at sunrise in the Florida Everglades. This blue heron let me get very close and then flew off. Such fragility here. Looks like such a big bird, but then you see it's all feathers. Such a small and fragile body. Brings me to tears in some poignant way.

From space it is shockingly visible how fragile our eco- and climate systems are. Mesospheric clouds above Siberia.
Vom All aus ist schockierend deutlich zu sehen, wie zerbrechlich unser Klimasystem ist.

Photographing, in other words catching some light, isn't that easy these days. Rain, hail, snow and big dark clouds keep us company here on the isle. I just keep working on my Fragility ledger ...no better way to use my time ... :-)

Waldanemone - Anemone nemorosa
captured in my local wood
I would have liked to show some new work, but this year the fragile anemone nemorosa had already passed their best when I visited my local beech wood.
You know you've entered a weird phase in your life when your friend drives by with a praying mantis pod she thought your kid might like and you exchange it in the driveway like a drug deal.
These guys were insanely cool and F was thrilled to be a mom to hundreds of new fragile lives.

True beauty is indeed a fragile thing.
However, it withstands the test of time and it won't rust even if it's weathered with life.
absolutely gorgeous mom and baby, taken at the barthimee clinic in senegal, west africa. although impossible to tell from this photograph, this was one of the sickest children i cared for during my time in africa.
nine months old, this baby weighed only 4 kg (a bit over 8 pounds), suffering from typhoid, malaria, and chronic and severe malnutrition. small though they are, my hands were able to completely encircle his upper chest, finger tips overlapping on his back, my thumbs touching over his heart. he belonged in an intensive care unit, but besides none being available, his mother could not afford even overnight observation for him at an outlying hospital. we gave him all the medications we had and sent him home with his mother with further medications and instructions.
by absolutely nothing other than the grace of god, she returned with him to the clinic several days later, and he was much, much improved. hope is a fragile thing, but what an example of why we should have it. his mom was so kind to allow me to take this picture, and was very pleased to see it.
the grain and blur is unfortunate, but the power was out at the clinic at the time, and this was all i could squeeze out of my camera.

I found this little fellow growing between the half-rotten decking boards of a semi-abandoned trailer platform. Stubborn little thing!

I know Jordy has already posted something quite similar for MAM, but, well....I had this idea earlier in the week and I'd already gone to the shop and purchased the Fragile stickers, so frak it!
I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw todays ODC theme as well, the photographic gods were obviously on my side. Sacrificing that goat must have done the trick this time.
This shot feels like it should have a message or a slogan, I haven't managed to come up with one, so feel free to add your own.

...the more you love something the more it's scary to lose it...then the fragility arises. September 2020
Breaking is way easier than fixing. Why do we dare to hurt a fragile soul?
