Photos often reflect our feelings, emotions, concerns. In this case, one worries about the harsh winter to come. Will the little tree survive?
Will we?
Will I?

From the chapter Formed by Force in my new book Artwork of Nature.
This photograph explores one of the themes I keep returning to — how stone shaped by time can appear both monumental and delicate. In Formed by Force, rock faces tell stories of pressure, erosion, and endurance, yet often reveal a surprising fragility.
The book brings together 120 photographs from across Norway, capturing both enduring geological forms and fleeting natural artworks shaped by water, ice, and tide. It’s more than a collection of images — it’s about finding presence and stillness in nature’s details.
📖 You can learn more about the project and pre-order a signed copy of Artwork of Nature here: www.kaxelsenfoto.com/book
In the heart of your most solemn barren night
When your soul's turned inside out
Have you questioned all the madness you invite
What your life is all about
Despite the frost, snow and the rain this crocus blooms, so fragile and still so strong! The petals are almost transparent ;-))
Paramahansa Yogananda
Never allow your mind to entertain thoughts of disease or limitation: you will see that your body will change for the better. Remember that the mind is the power that governs this body, so if your mind is weak, the body also becomes weak. Not intristirti or worry about anything.
If you strengthen your mind does not feel physical pain. No matter what happens, you have to be absolutely clear in your mind.

While baking and using some local, fresh eggs we get from friends I admired their beauty. I appreciated their amazing, natural-looking, refreshing colors, how they are fragile, beautiful, and—to me—worthy of photographing. These eggs and their broken shells tell me a beautiful, relatable story. They may be considered broken, may even seem useless, and they still have worth, beauty and purpose.
