"Helen", slide frame reads January, 1961
I found these 3 coins separately in the last week.
Canadian Quarter

The value of the Dominican coin?........................roughly 25 cents.
Found in a vacant trade school: A 1942 Jam Handy instructional filmstrip on the delicate art of welding aluminum tubes.
Found Agfacolor slide, undated, showing a family in a garden. Another slide which amply demonstrates why TTL viewfinders became so popular.
Found these pirates while wandering around the abandoned warehouse complex next to the Jones Falls. This is exactly how I found them—I didn't arrange this at all.
Found unbranded and undated slide. Google thinks it is the Royal Marines Museum in Portsmouth, which would not be unreasonable given the other slides in this batch.
Part of a large batch of vintage negatives I purchased at an estate sale. They seem to be mostly NJ, 1930s and 1940s. If you recognize a building, please comment and let me know where it is.

A friend gave me these with the note:
"My grandma belonged to "Tops", a weight loss group that is still active across N. America. She was the keeper of some albums no one wanted. She didn't wan them either, haha."

Found 126-format Kodachrome slide dated September 1968 showing what I presume is the daughter with her grandmother outside the house.
The beginnings of a found-object project . There's an alley outside my apartment where everyone puts their trash, so the landscape is always changing.
GPO 312F telephone as found in an attic. As you can see, the telephone was in a sorry state and the screw in the centre of the dial had rusted, making a real mess of the dial face. This phone is dated 1956 and I was informed that it had been in this attic for more than a couple of decades. Connected to the 'phone was a bakelite magneto, shown here. This model of phone was fitted with a "Call Exchange" button, for use on party lines.
I found a box of "Dolch Consonants Cards" at Jacob Beam Public School in Beamsville, Ontario at the beginning of the summer.
It took me this long to figure out an interesting way to post the cards.
The phonic (flash) cards help elementary school children with sounding vowels and consonants.
Last week I found a couple of cameras in a charity shop on Twerton High Street. They both came loaded with film - this one was already exposed.
It's a strange feeling looking through these. I can't help but think, given the aged cheap camera, the way it was lovingly maintained (repaired ever-ready case, home-made replacement strap), the subject matter and the fact the film was just forgotten and never developed, that it might have been in a charity shop beacuase the owner is no longer alive. A sad window into an ended life.
I hope not though. If I could find the owner I'd love to return these. If you have any clues, or recognise the woman who repeatedly appears then drop me a line.

I recently purchased a bag of negatives at an estate sale. Most are WW2 era photos taken in Germany. I'll add more information as I'm able to identify locations.
