I found a silver ring

And put it on my finger

I picked up my guitar

And played it for the Reaper

God was a girl, the devil wore a T-shirt

Love is a game and they, were kissing in the bleachers

I don't want to be without you but

I'm here screaming by myself

Vintage View Camera lots of wear on this old camera I couldn't date it but probably around the 20's found in North Carolina.

The yellow-footed green pigeon (Treron phoenicoptera), also known as yellow-legged green pigeon, is a common species of green pigeon found in the Indian subcontinent. It is the state bird of Maharashtra. In Marathi it is called Hola or Hariyal. The species feeds on fruit, including many species of Ficus. They forage in flocks.

A different individual to the first one I posted, found lower down the slopes. Biggish crop as he was a bit of distance away, across a bramble patch.

Cathedral garden, Manchester.

Going through archived photos, I found this sunset I snapped in 2018. I have no idea where I was at the time, most likely somewhere close to home. It reminds me of a pastel drawing.

A lovely little looper larva.

Help with ID welcomed.

Palomena prasina is found throughout Europe, as well as North Africa and Western Asia. They belong to the Pentatomidae family and have a size of 12 - 13,5 mm. From spring until autumn their color is green, but as it gets colder, their coloration changes to brown or red-brown. After hibernation they turn green again.

ODC = Fences

Neither Kay or myself has any interest in the black Friday shopping crowds so it is our tradition to take our cameras and go as far away from all that as we can get and shop for photos:) Imagine our delight when we pulled over and walked to the beach to take photos and happened upon this fence of found flip flops proving once again to ourselves if you get out of the car and walk you never know what you will see that you would have otherwise driven right past.....this find is priceless!

a large towering tree in the neighborhood I grew up in seems to define my insignificance and need of strength as it still stands here years later.

I found this feather today on my way to work, it is about 2 inch.

O.k. stoked to find a drain even if its not that big and had to try the wheel thing. so much fun, hope i'm not style biting to hard. See a true master at this sort of thing here www.flickr.com/photos/twincitiesbrightest/

photograph I acquired from a large archive of negatives from a San Francisco Bay based commercial photographer taken mostly in the 1960s to 1970s.

Into the realm I found peace and kindness. I thought I would go to this hiking trail where I have been before. Seems like a great spot for some scenic wooded shots, and a wee bit of solitude.

(if you don't mind all the dog walkers with multiple dogs)

While downtown putting out food for feral cats, I started to put some water out and saw this face looking at me. It was a pretty small kitten who had hunkered in a small depression next to the building. I picked it up and it was very friendly and purred a lot. I don't think it was any of the area cats. I think someone saw the cats in the area and dumped it. I took it home and gave it a place in our 2nd bathroom with bed, food and water. It was very loving and wanted to be held. We gave it a small toy mouse and it played and played with it. We just couldn't have another cat, so today I loaded it up (with toy) and took it to the local shelter and gave them a nice donation for taking it in, I sure hope it finds a good home, someone will be getting a nice kitty.

Exciting to get in on the action. The neighborhood fox has been visible the last two days.

“What an astonishing thing it is to find something. Children, who excel at it—chiefly because the world is still so new to them that they can’t help but notice it—understand this, and automatically delight in it… Finding is usually rewarding and sometimes exhilarating: a reunion with something old or an encounter with something new, a happy meeting between ourselves and some previously missing or mysterious bit of the cosmos.”

—Kathryn Schulz

The above quotation basically sums up how I feel about photography. We find things that are treasures to us, and we photograph and share them. Like Show and Tell. Remember that from elementary school? ;) A whole year (and longer) slipped away since I took this photo, but I’m finally sharing this found thing with you.

Thank you to everyone for your recent, generous faves and supportive comments. It encourages me, and it’s appreciated more than you know. My apologies for not being able to follow everyone that follows me. With Flickr’s settings, it makes it challenging to follow too many people without being overwhelmed. As a general rule, for everyone that visits my photostream, I make an effort to reciprocate by visiting theirs.

I wish you all the best now and always. Keep looking, finding and sharing. x

Yes and um, I'm with you Derek, this star nonsense

Yes, yes, now which is it?

I am sure of it

So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell, blue skies from pain

Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail?

A smile from a veil?

Do you think you can tell?

Did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts?

Hot ashes for trees?

Hot air for a cool breeze?

Cold comfort for change?

Did you exchange

A walk-on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?

How I wish, how I wish you were here

We're just two lost souls swimming in a fishbowl, year after year

Running over the same old ground

What have we found?

The same old fears

Wish you were here

What does "He left the 99 to rescue me" mean?

Jesus tells the parable of the lost sheep to show that the Kingdom of God is accessible to all, even those who were sinners or strayed from God's path. He uses the example of a shepherd (God) who has 100 sheep and one goes missing. The shepherd leaves the 99 others and searches high and low for the lost sheep.

Back from our trip up North and boy did we find some color!!

Our original destination was Superior Wisconsin to check out Wisconsin's highest waterfall and though it was pretty, there wasn't much in the way of trails so we headed North. We ended up about 50 miles from the Canadian border! LOL! I tend to wander off the itinerary!

This was one of the favorite parks we found along the way. Gooseberry Falls in Minnesota. The colors were stunning and there were lots of hiking trails. The Baptism River wound it's way through the park with many cascade areas and of coarse the waterfall! f you follow it to it's end (we did) it flows into Lake Superior. The standing water at the rivers end was a great place to see waterfowl.

There are parks all along Lake Superior and I would like to take another trip up here and explore some more of them. We only saw 5! LOL!

Many thanks to everyone who comments or faves my shots.
