We went to our local bait shop to find a couple of cute kittens in the need of a good home. They were found in a box in the alley, apparently their mother was a stray. The owner of the store had been caring for them for the past week and I have decided to take them and care for them until I find them a home. I still have to bottle feed them and it so cute to watch them nurse on the kitten bottle! Aren't they are adorable?

My friend Jessica found this dog wandering in her neighborhood. She kept her for a few days, but her Jack Russell, Mr Mougli wasn't fond of her. So, I brought her home to foster her, but I'm growing more attached every minute. Jessica hung fliers in her neighborhood, so hopefully her owner will call and claim her, but if not I'll have to decide if I can part with her:) Taken May 26, 2008.
The night was pretty good especially once we figured out that Odin likes a night light. After that, he was quiet and slept the night in his crate. He loves Lacie and seems to want to be close to us but still cringes with any human contact. Baby steps will be needed to gain his trust. If I want him to go anywhere I still have to carry him. Being that he must weigh about 30 pounds or more, I am getting a workout. Overall he is a very sweet boy and will make for a wonderful addition to some lucky family.
Below Foster Falls, the Potato River splits and two small branches flow around a couple islands before rejoining the main channel a couple hundred feet downstream. This is one of the branches where it re-enters the river.

Thanks to Roger Jones for pointing this out and the history lesson. The old neon sign from Foster's Cafeteria on Polk Street is again visible, after being hidden for many, many years.
This restaurant has some history, as allegedly the spot where Allen Ginsberg met Robert LaVigne, who in turn introduced Ginsberg to Peter Orlovsky.
This is a photo of a kitten named Cheeto. Cheeto and his siblings were ill when we took them into foster care but here you can see they are all better. Once back at the shelter they had no trouble getting adoped.
Maud Foster, Boston, Lincolnshire. This is a 7 storey and 5 sailed windmill standing 24.8m (80 feet) tall to the cap.
It was built in 1819 by Hull Millwright Norman & Smithson for the brothers Isaac & Thomas Reckitt, they milled corn up to 1833.
It was sold to the Ostler family in 1914 and ran the mill/business known as "Ostler's Mill" until 1948 when it closed and fell into disrepair. the Mill has since been restored.
