My sons and girlfriends foster dog, looking like a child watching his father play pool. If this doesn’t get me in “in explore” nothing will…lol
Credit goes to Gigi Hoyos, who took the picture.

This first edition of the poems of Nathan Lanesford Foster was printed and bound in 1841 in the print shop in Philadelphia where my great-great-great grandfather worked at the time.
For those of you who know Philly: the print shop was located in what is now the 'Old City' section of Philadelphia, near the Betsy Ross House and Independence Hall.
More modern editions of this volume are available at select booksellers:

Fosters worked perfectly for this telescope,,,,,,,,,checking out some of the points @ Alexander Point.
‘Standing out from the crowd!’. I liked this lone tree juxtaposed with the small copse, a local scene and as you can see we have floods from storm Dennis - managed to get this in-between the heavy showers. I hope you’ve survived the storms OK, Alan:-)
366 - I’ve decided to do this to force me to pick up a camera other than when we are away on our travels (they will be posted as normal) - I will be interested to see what transpires, they will be varied I’m sure so we’ll see where inspiration takes me over the course of the year, hopefully at the end of it I will be a better photographer. Feel free to critique as you see fit, but please don’t feel obliged, I anticipate they will not be to all tastes. Have a great year and if you also have embarked on a 365 project then good luck in seeing it through, Alan:-)

Man and Boy is a statue situated at King's Quay on the harbour of Brixham, Devon, England. It is the result of a long fundraising effort; the residents of the town raised £76,000 for its construction. The monument was created in clay by the local sculptor Elisabeth Hadley and cast in bronze in Shropshire. (Wikipedia)
The statue was used for tributes and a memorial service to two local fishermen, Adam Harper, 26, and 38-year-old Robert Morley who lost their lives while out fishing on the night of Saturday 21 November 2020.
I used a mini tripod balanced on a wall for this one. Out-of-camera jpeg, cropped.

Foster Falls is beautiful and impressive. I thoroughly enjoyed shooting it, however, the stream and cascades that flow out of the falls are amazing.
This is one of Nicole's (Escaping Reality) favorite places. Now I understand why.
Taken in Toledo, Ohio on July 7, 1929. Written on the back of the photo is:
"July 7, 1929
F. M. Foster
Sunday
29 years old."
Fletcher Foster was the youngest child of George Martin Foster and Ida Florence Williams-Foster and his wife Ruth's father was a Riggs and her mother was a Foust. All were from Anderson County, Tennessee. They were laid to rest in the Leach Cemetery just south of Lake City, Tennessee.
They always drove red cars, it was their favorite color. Their favorite song on was " Lucille" by Kenny Rogers; Toledo was mentioned in the lyrics. They were Elvis fans too. They intent was to be cremated. Ruth passed away first and Uncle Fletch just couldn't go through with the cremation. A granite cross was placed over her grave and Uncle Fletch painted the ends of the cross red. About a year later he was a found a day or two after he passed away in his home, he died from a broken heart. They never had any children.
Note: Ruth legally changed her name from Ruby to Ruth (or vice versa?).
An alternate view to one I posed some time ago. Foster Falls and its lead in creek provides a stunning composition.
Here are sisters Maisy and Daisy in what appears to be my most important single photo on the internet. It looks like they are smooching but really they are helping each other clean up after eating since they did not have a mother cat available to do that. Mailsy and Daisy got adopted out together.
