The color of the pine trees caught my eye as I was driving through this area. At first I thought it was the remainder of fall colors but a closer look revealed the color to be the result of a forrest fire. I have never seen pine trees with this amazing color before so i took a picture of it. The water looks like a lake but is the result of melting snow which contributed to the picture.

View of Monument Valley from from Highway 163. I call it the Forrest Gump view because it reminds me of the part of the movie that was filmed here.

The area around Snežnik mountain is the biggest forrest in Slovenia. In recent years it is hosting more than 400 bears, which should be considered when hiking there. The wildest part of that area is called Ždrocle - an extremely rugged, karstic terrain with many sinkholes and chiasms. Also on this hike we saw fresh footsteps of bears.
