Time, then, to leave the warmth of the loco’s radiators and grab a shot before enjoying the formidable* sounds and sight of its departure.
*50038 was later named ‘Formidable’.

The Impala is one of the most common and most graceful of all Africa’s antelopes. A slender, agile creature, it can clear formidable obstacles and run at speeds faster than 60km/h. They are fleet runners who can leap up to 10m in length and 3m in height. They use their tremendous speed and agility to avoid predation, and seemingly for pure enjoyment.
Most young impala are born around mid-day as this is the safest time to give birth since most of their enemies are resting. Half of newborn are killed by predators within the first few weeks of life.

An ancient defense formation that has protected them mainly from wolves did not work against two-legged predators with dogs and weapons, and they have been on the verge of extinction a number of times in the past. Now, they are facing an invisible enemy – global warming. Warmer temperatures in the high Arctic often lead to more snowfall and ice formation on the surface of the snow, making it difficult for them to dig out food under the snow.
Couple pose 'Formidable', released 1st Jan 2011, at Props and Poses Fair (1st-8th Jan) in SL - to be held at the Cheese sim, home to the Superhero Epilepsy Combat Syndicate, an organization within SL whose events and efforts benefit the Out of the Shadows program that is part of the Epilepsy Foundation.
The Props and Pose Fair will consist of vendors who have set up a booth with props containing poses and/or poses and animations as exclusive releases for the fair. Vendors will donate at least 50% of their proceeds to benefit the Epilepsy Foundation. 100% of proceeds will be donated from this pose :D

A heatwave with temperatures far above 40C made us quickly flee back from the inland of France to the coast last summer. So we ended up close to these cliffs unexpectedly. One morning I decided to go and enjoy the sunrise, even though it was uncertain if it would show itself. Indeed I arrived in some rain and I was just enjoying the views, when suddenly the sun decided to appear and it was shining this bright light through the salty sea air! So I even had to take the camera out.
Hi all! I'm still alive and kicking, sort of. And... I just uploaded 21 new images on here!
But I haven't been here for a long time, due to several reasons. The main reason is that I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, which means I'm struggling with skeleton and muscle pain, headaches and tiredness. It goes up and down and I need to exercise a lot, 'keep moving'. It also means I cannot sit statically behind a PC, laptop, tablet or telephone for too long. This creates problems for me at work, and also in my photography. I'm still out there shooting, but the processing is going even slower than it did before. So there are less images, but I still enjoy the processing of them, I just need to use shorter intervals and more breaks. I don't have much time left for other things 'online', so I can't keep up with the socials and all photography related thing. I'm still active on Instagram, on and off, uploading some new images and sharing behind the scenes in 'stories'.
On the other side, I've been asked to join This Way Photography Adventures, www.yougothisway.com! An invitation that I happily accepted. The challenges and activities there fit me perfectly now. You can join me and Frank Otto Pedersen on an epic winter adventure on Senja island next March, and we are working on another weeklong trip!

Gamorrean just stood there, like a statue. I felt the moisture coming from the walls, as they're breathing cold air in to my neck. It was a mix of cold and warm air which felt very wet. As I climbed on a tower of Jabba's Palace, shadows were on my side and I was able to take this photograph of Gammorrean the Guard on his duty.
After the photo was taken, he just keep standing there, like nothing happened. And I got this wild idea, he was enjoying being a photographed. It's just my wild thinking, but that's the way I've felt it. I guess he saw me earlier, while he was passing me.

Amber or Amer Fort is located in Amer (a town with an area of 4 km2), 11 kilometres from Jaipur, Rajasthan state, India. It is one of the principal tourist attractions in the Jaipur area, located high on a hill.Amer Fort was built by Raja Man Singh I. Amer Fort is known for its artistic style of Hindu elements. With its large ramparts, series of gates and cobbled paths, the fort overlooks the Maota Lake, at its forefront.
The aesthetic ambiance of this formidable fort is seen within its walls on a four level layout plan (each with a courtyard) in a well turned out opulent palace complex built with red sandstone and marble consisting of the Diwan-e-Aam or the "Hall of Public Audience", the Diwan-e-Khas or the "Hall of Private Audience", the Sheesh Mahal (mirror palace) or Jai Mandir, and the Sukh Niwas where a cool climate is artificially created by winds that blow over the water cascade within the palace. Hence, the Amer Fort is also popularly known as the Amer Palace.
The palace was lived in by the Rajput Maharajas and their families. At the entrance to the palace near the fort’s Ganesh Gate, there is also a temple dedicated to Sila Devi, a goddess of the Chaitanya cult which was given to Raja Man Singh when he had defeated the Raja of Jessore, Bengal in 1604. (Jessore is now in Bangladesh).
This fort, along with Jaigarh Fort, located immediately above on the Cheel ka Teela (Hill of Eagles) of the same Aravalli range of hills, is considered as one complex, as the two are well connected by a subterranean passage. This passage was meant as an escape route in times of war for the royal family members and others in the Amer Fort to shift to the more redoubtable Jaigarh Fort.
Annual tourist visitation to the Amer Palace in Amer town was reported by the Superintendent of Department of Archaeology and Museums to the Amer Palace as 5000 visitors a day, and 1.4 million visitors were reported during 2007.

Although an imperfect man, prone to make mistakes in his personal life probably more than most other costumed crusaders, the Green Arrow is nevertheless one of the greatest heroes in the entire DC Universe. Whether fighting solo, with his paramour the Black Canary or with his fellow heroes of the Justice League, the Emerald Archer is one hero anyone would be lucky to have at their back.
