This is a shot of the beautiful Laurel Fork Falls or Laurel Falls as I have seen it named, just over the border in TN right off the Appalachian trail. I have been wanting to visit this falls for some time and finally made a point to get out there the last time I was staying in Roan Mountain.
It is really a very picturesque falls with some great surroundings. I definitely plan on returning again when I have some more time and hopefully some more water flow as I have heard this falls is quite impressive after a good rain.
Looks best when viewed large.

Hi my dear Flickr friends, joyful midst of the holiday season wishes to each of you! Let me just begin by saying I've been bowled over by the incredibly creativity, beautiful and inspiring subjects that so many of you have been photographing this month. Thank you for this, fellow Flickrites, my Christmas season has been made all the more bright and merry by your delightfully wonderful work.
As 2010 sneaks in it's last tiny handful of days, I thought it would be a good idea to try and upload some of the photos from this past collective of twelve months that I haven't shared with you yet (starting today and hopefully throughout this week), so that I can head into 2011 with less of a backlog and more time to concentrate on capturing new images.
On that note, this afternoon's uploads are more photos from a day last summer that I spent photographing a pretty (and rather tasty!) assortment of blackberries and both red and white raspberries. As we sit here in the frosty depth of late December, these sun-kissed still life shots are serving as a wonderful reminder of summer's beauty and helping making the freezing temps outside a whole lot easy to bear! :)

Just finished this to enter into a local show with the theme of Black/White. I thought I was through with the mutilation of harmless silverplate cutlery, but apparently I was wrong. First the skull spoons, now this!

My beloved niece, Riley and I are having another photo challenge. The subject is "forks" this week. A few other folks are playing along and making this even more fun. Personally, I don't think forks are just for dinner anymore!
If you like this photo head over to my Instagram and "like" it. Else, Riley'll beat me again!

Just playing with light and balance ...back later today with challenge which is the work Lucky
Playing around with things a bit... So to speak. No, this not #MeToo.... Although the forks do complain rat/her vulgarly at times , a bit like the O-Man!
Well, this must be summer as this is another great sunny day! Garden forks in the grass sitting in order! Nothing exciting today, quick shots as I've been painting and decorating and it's getting close to my game of golf!!

deciding between these two (salt and pepper shakers and fork and spoon) for this week's 52 in 2017, Everyday Objects. What do you think?
Several weeks ago, three of my contacts posted pictures they had taken of forks. I wanted to get in on this innovative experiment, so I went outside and shot my version of a fork, but then let the film sit for a while before getting it developed. Well, better late than never. So, here's my contribution to the fork club.
