Hello my amazing Flickr friends !
Today is a pink or purple day at Color my World Daily and the theme at Smile on Saturday is recycled.
So grab a vintage fork or a spoon and lets turn it in to rings ! The first time I saw jewelry made from utensil it was in Cuba. I must admit I was very impressed to see how creative people are when they have very little ressources… Recycling in Cuba is part of life and you have no idea how far this goes. They are able to recycle anything ! When I saw those rings (very cheap !! They cost only few Canadian dollars) I had to have them ! So each year, when I come back from Cuba I’m adding a ring to my collection… In my picture you can see a few favorites of mine… One was made from a spoon from Habana Hilton hotel and has the logo engraved inside. If you are familiar with Cuban history you know the importance of Habana Hilton. If only this ring could talk …
Have a beautiful day my friends and see you later !!

Taken for the MacroMonday Theme "Forks". These are really tiny plastic forks. I’m including a link in the comments to the photo with a ruler showing how small these forks are. www.flickr.com/gp/12355559@N03/15xK8G
One of my all time favorites:
starting very early in darkness from the trailhead along the Left Fork of North Creek (part of Zion NP) with headlights to my destination, the "Subway", i reached after 3 hours this picturesque location.

Okay so it is a long title, but with six forks in one frame 2-1/2 inch wide, the answer would natural be Fork it.

This dragonfly is "ON the FORK", but is also lifting off with it!
This is the result of an idea I had for this week's theme, which is proving to be extremely difficult and time consuming to do. It is not without its problems, and needs more work. But I decided to submit it "as is" now to get it posted on time in the Smile on Saturday group. I hope it will nevertheless bring a smile to you when you see it!
Theme: "On Forks"
Thank you for taking the time to view my photo, and for the faves and comments you make, thank you.
Inspired by my favourite documentary fork over knives, which changed my life 8 years ago.

Wild South Africa
Kruger National Park
This drab colored bird is a common resident in the Kruger National Park but you should not be misled by its appearance. The drongo is a highly intelligent bird and has the ability to mimic calls of other animals and it uses this skill to distract them. For example the Dwarf Mongoose has a number of different alarm calls for different predators. The drongo has learnt to imitate these calls. It will sit in trees above the foraging mongoose watching closely and waiting for one of them to catch something. At this point the drongo screeches the mimicked mongoose alarm call, sending the whole colony scattering for cover – leaving behind the food that they have just caught. The drongo then swoops in, picks up the abandoned food and heads back into the trees to enjoy the mongooses’ hard earned meal.
