The lower South Fork is seen through the afternoon haze. Castle Rock sits near the South Fork of the Shoshone River southwest of Cody Wyoming. Castle Rock is an erosional remnant of volcanic dikes that intruded into the sedimentary country rock. Explorer, mountain man and trapper, John Colter, passed this landmark in 1807 while exploring the wilderness that was to become northern Wyoming. He is believed to be the first European-American to visit this feature. The volcanic dike, as well as the nearby stacked lava flows, flow breccias and debris flows that makeup the mountains behind Castle Rock are part of the Absaroka Volcanics Supergroup. This group of igneous rocks are the remnant of a volcanic field that was active in the Eocene between 53 and 43 million years ago.

Fork-tailed Flycatcher at Sunset Park, Ocean City, MD.

After seeing a similar idea, I made this image using one fork and one raspberry. It was fun.

Bit of a storm tonight, and I managed to get a couple of lightning shots :)

Very rare vagrant from South America. Found by Scott Houston on 11/22. Fortunately for many it has stayed a while. Probably an immature bird with a shorter tail than an adult. The long tail can be seen through the chain link fence. Sunset Park, Ocean City, Worcester County, Maryland.

After enjoying the Chiemsee we went to a small Italian restaurant in Rosenheim and had some really tasty pasta and wine

This was fun...it was hard deciding which picture to post. I square cropped it and really didn't have any other adjustments, I did play with the Temp a little.

Somehow I believe that flirting is more about body language (gesture) than just spoken words.

When I shoot the fork and knife in the kitchen, the flirting scene comes to my eyes.

What do you think? Do you show your edges and sharpness to others when flirting?

Have a great Friday and weekend coming!

This is another still life done in my kitchen last weekend.

This is my third cutlery related photo this year, what is this thing I have about forks!

Using the polarizer to show all the stress lines in some clear plastic forks. I can't help but feel that if I turned the camera on myself at the moment I might look very colourful like this too!

In May of 1861, the Little Fork Rangers from Culpeper County, Virginia mobilized into Company D of the 4th Virginia Calvary. Also known as the Black Horse Calvary, their primary objective was to guard and maintain the supply lines from the Rappahannock River.

The Black Horse Calvary still rides today, participating in Civil War reenactments in Virginia and Pennsylvania.

An homage of sorts to a decal I have always loved and admired.

A decal that has graced the blades of so many wonderful machines over many decades.

The brakes will be available from Compass, after testing, packaging etc. No date has been announced yet.

These forks was not easy to do keeping it balance without having a domino effect and the gap consistent.
