Taken near the waters of Kalir Char, a small isle arrogantly rising its head in the Kalindi river, one of the major salt-water deltas crisscrossing the huge mangrove forest in the south-western corner of Bangladesh. The man clamping his palms in a manner suited to worshipers confessing their sins and asking for forgiveness to the almighty, is a local fisherman, the poorest of the poor in the hypnotic region of Sundarban. However, in this case he wasn't asking for amity from the lord in heavens, this time the lord in question had a humanoid appearance, talked in human language and his fatigue said "বন বিভাগ" (Forest Dept) in a shiny, yellow badge. They have been caught fishing in the wrong forest range, 'illegally'.
Yet that is not the 'only' crime being committed here, off-screen from the camera is an employee of the Bangladeshi Forestry Dept, forced to extort from poor fishermen like these they have but little left of what is called 'humanity'. Barely paid for their tiring and often dangerous job of patrolling the waters of Sundarban, these forest guards often resort to extortion if any unlucky fishing-dingy ventures across their path. These people have little or no money to spare, so they pay with whatever they've caught in their nets..that is "FISH". However, the forest guards are far more humane than their fat-cat bosses in Dhaka, they take only whats needed to feed themselves and their family in isolated forest offices around the Sundarbans and leave the rest to the fishermen.
Any sign of disobedience is severely dealt with, like in this case. A rather new kid had just denied to give 8 medium sized "Chilet" fish to the forest guard accompanying us. As a return he received a thundering slap to his jaw, his seniors rushed to his rescue before things worsened. What you see here is one of the elders asking to spare them this time saying (and I quote) " পোলাপাইন মানুষ বাভাই (বড়ভাই), এইবার ছেবার দেন" ( he is just an insolent kid, big brother, forgive us this time).
At first we were confused, angered at such an act of oppression and lawlessness. However, as time gradually progressed and we were absorbed in the local trends, we came to realize that in the bends of Sundarban, there is hardly anything as a "written law". The enforcers here are just as crude as those who are being enforced. These fishermen out of desperation often resort to looting and pillaging at the guise of the night. In waters where nothing is as it seems, acts like these are perhaps horrifying to the unaccustomed eyes, but not to those who rake through the canals everyday.

Ebony is a black velvet male chinchilla that is the daddy to our "baby" chinchilla. He is not happy right now because he had to come out of his home for a week to prevent Breed-Back to his cage mate Ivory after having just had their baby. He is very sweet and I am sure he will forgive me. A few sticks and twigs from now and everything will be ok.
A true friend always forgives you, even when you seem to be throwing your life away. He'll catch it for you and bring you back to life.

<I came apart inside a world made of angry people
I found a boy who had a dream
Making everyone smile
He was sunshine
I fell over my feet
Like bricks underwater
How am I supposed to tell you how I feel
I need oxygen
Oh baby if I was your lady
I would make you happy
I'm ever gonna leave, never gonna leave
Oh baby I would be your lady
I am going crazy for you
And so I found a state of mind
Where I could be speechless
I had to try it for a while
To figure out this feeling
This felt so right
Pull me upside down to a place
Where you've been waiting
How am I supposed to tell you how I feel
I need oxygen
Oh baby if I was your lady
I would make you happy
I'm never gonna leave,
Never gonna leave
Oh baby I would be your lady
I am going crazy for you
And you don't wanna keep me waiting
Staring at my fingers
Feeling like a fool
Oh baby I would be your lady
I would make you happy
I'm never gonna leave,
Never gonna leave
Oh baby I would be your lady
I am going crazy, yeah-ohhhh
Tell me what you want,
Baby tell me what you need
Anything I ask baby give it to me
Baby give it to me, give it to me
I came apart inside a world made of angry people
I found a boy who had a dream
Making everyone smile
My favorite graffiti on the sidewalk in Powderhorn. I'd forgotten about it, and saw it had re-emerged since the ice melted. A delightful piece of urban directive.

Last week we looked at the first one which really leads the parade. Forgiveness is the most godlike act a person can do. You’re never more like God than when you forgive. Obviously we celebrate the forgiveness of God. We understand the forgiveness of God. It is God overlooking our sin. It is God overlooking our guilt. It is God giving us a promise that we are forgiven of all our sins, past, present and future. We enter into an undeserved, unearned condition of complete and total forgiveness by the sheer grace of God. That is the model for our forgiveness. We forgive out of grace, not because somebody earned it.
We offer forgiveness freely, unconditionally, without restraint, without restriction. And with that offer of forgiveness, we abandon all animosity, all anger, all hatred, all desire for retaliation, all desire for vengeance, all bitterness. And this will guarantee for us a life free from the root of bitterness that it talks about in the book of Hebrews, free from carking anger and hostility that eats away at the joy of the soul. Forgiveness is the most godlike thing you can do. And He is the model. You forgive and you forgive again, and you forgive again, and you forgive again. As we learn from our Lord’s words to Peter, “You forgive seventy times seven, seventy times a day.” As often as you’re offended, that’s how often you forgive.

Forgive me for not taking better notes. I don't recall what kind of car this was, but it sure looks nice.

"Father, forgive them, for they don't know what they're doing." We think of the criminals on the cross when we hear those words. But, really, those words are said over and over by Jesus to those of us living in this day and age. Can you imagine how often Jesus must shake his head because of the things we do that have long lasting consequences that are not beneficial or positive?

Forgive my lack of knowledge of what exactly is going on here, since this is my very first time attending a Sikh wedding.
John always told me that he couldn't wait to see his friend Rasdip get married because, as you can see here, by old Sikh tradition, Rasdip wears a turban, and carries a sword...as for the rest of the outfit, I do not know what, if any, the meaning of any of it is. So, for those out there who do know, (or if you are Rasdip and Jennene!) PLEASE tell me what's going on here!
Allie and I were Planing this picture on our way to the graveyard. we wanted a picture that you coud actually feel the persons pain. (BTW that's not me >:D)

following her
shadow
like a canine
to possess her
in the
caverns
of my desolate
heart
i pine
every time
i come online
she belongs
to my poetry
but she is
not mine
my hopes
barefeet
on a decline
only love
can make
water
into wine
a damsel divine
approachable
after nine
her deadline
she is coy
she is feline
adding
missing
words
to my poems
lifeline
This was a poem I wrote called Love Online a long time back before I became a victim of my delusions and lost illusions

she wears a mask
a poetess benign
it is her silence
that kills mine
speechless
pursued
by this
poet swine
like a speck
of dust
i kiss her
hemline
as she tramples
my soul
walking
barefeet
on my spine
Cleopatra like
serene divine
a sphinx
almost a shrine
older than history
her bloodline
very feline
like a creeper
to her destiny
i am entwined
the path
to her
heartless heart
i still cant find
yes cosmic
love has made
me blind
a karmic passion
swift streamlined
online love
spectral light
kissing
the shadow
of her neckline
forgive me
i have sinned
i took you for
granted
my fate
quartered
slaughtered
pinned
the flesh
was willing
the soul
thick skinned
from afar
cupid grinned
a broken arrow
my ass skinned
one sided
online love
caught
in a cross wind
