Forget Her
While this town is busy sleeping
All the noises died away
I walk the streets to stop my weeping
But she'll never change her ways
Don't fool yourself
She was heartache from the moment that you met her
My heart feels so still
As I try to find the will to forget her somehow
Oh I think I've forgotten her now
Her love is a rose pale and dying
Dropping her petals and man I know
All full of wine the world before her
But sober with no place to go
Don't fool yourself
She was heartache from the moment that you met her
My heart is frozen still
As I try to find the will to forget her somehow
She's somewhere out there now
Oh my tears folded down as I tried to forget
Her love was a joke from the day that we met
All of the words all of her men
All of my pain when I think back to when
Remember her hair as it shone in the sun
It was there on the bed when I knew what she'd done
Tell yourself over and over you wont ever need her again
But don't fool yourself
She was heartache from the moment that you met her
Oh my heart is frozen still
As I try to find the will to forget her somehow
She's out there somewhere now
Oh
She was heartache from the day that i first met her
My heart is frozen still
As I try to find the will to forget you somehow
'Cause I know you're somewhere out there right now

Dimenticala

No technical brownie points for this one. It was taken outside on a wet and windy afternoon and the focusing is not brilliant but I really like the delicacy and colours of the flowers. The conditions were a bit too much for my poor little camera to cope with really. I still think it is very pretty though. Forget-me-nots were one of the favourite flowers of the Victorians because of their sentimental name and associations. They are incredibly tiny little flowers measuring only a couple of centimetres across although they look quite big here. I had to get VERY close.

As of today, the music video for 'Forget' by René van Munster can be seen online. The track is part of the eponymous EP released in February.
This EP is the first collection of tracks showcasing René’s exploration into his dreamt-up computer-sequenced cello sound. The EP growls, screeches and sings like an acoustic instrument while the electronics launch you in a gigantic cello into outer space, flying through cosmic clouds of rosin, resonating with strings from other planets along the way.
The videoclip was shot by filmmaker Paul Bezuijen on location in Midden-Groningen (the Netherlands). The static pattern of a cultivated forest functions as a visualized memory grid. In this surreal world filled with everyday objects, dancer Quentin Roger is seemingly confronted with memories and ghosts from the past. Through expressive motion Quentin heightens the urgency and drive of the electronically manipulated cello music.

Patrice Rushen - "Forget Me Nots"
"Sending you forget me nots
to help me to remember
baby please forget me not
i want you to remember
those were the times we had
sharing a joy that we thought would last
memories of love and affection
never really was just like a dream
was it the simple things
that made me so crazy about you
was it your charm or your passion
it's not hard to believe
i love you and i need you so i...
chorus:
sending you forget me nots
to help me to remember
baby please forget me not
i want you to remember
sending you forget me nots
to help me to remember
baby please forget me not
i want you to remember
did we give up too soon
maybe we needed just a little room
wondering how it all happened
maybe we just need a little time
though we did end as friends
given the chance we could love again
[she'll always love you forever]
it's not hard to believe
i want you and i need you so i... (chorus)
sending you forget me nots
to help me to remember
baby please forget me not
i want you to remember
(instrumental break)
Sending you forget me nots
Baby please forgive me not
(repeated by backing singers over which)
good times we had...
they weren't so bad
what a life we shared (?)
pretty baby I still care
sending you forget me nots
to help me to remember
baby please forget me not
i want you to remember"

This is a photograph from the 4th annual running of the Donadea 50K Ultramarathon which was held in Donadea Forest, Stapelstown, Co. Kildare, Ireland at 10:00 on February 15th 2014. The race was also an International Association of Ultrarunners Bronze Label Event and the Athletics Association of Ireland (AAI) National 50KM Championships. Over 160 participants took part in the event.

The event took place on a 5KM loop of Donadea Forest Park (read more below). The recent stormy and very wet conditions in Ireland made way for perfect running weather for the race. There was a slight breeze here and there on the route but for the most part the route was very sheltered. With so much running traffic on the course certain parts of the course became more muddy as time went on. However, this bother the participants who were expecting conditions to be much more difficult.
Congratulations to Anthony Lee of Donadea Running Club and Donadea Running Club for putting countless hours of voluntary effort into the staging of this event. The event has all the hallmarks of a professional event. There was a superb atmosphere around the loop as locals and other runners supported the runners.
Donadea Forest Park is situated in rural north Kildare and is approximately 640 acres in size. The amenities at the forest include good walking trails, a diversity of natural habitats, a walled stream, a large natural lake, and the ruins of Donadea castle. The Park is a designated National Heritage Area. The basic designation for wildlife is the Natural Heritage Area (NHA). This is an area considered important for the habitats present or which holds species of plants and animals whose habitat needs protection. It is a special event to allow the 50KM to be held in this environment.

We use Creative Commons Licensing for these photographs
We use the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License for all our photographs here in this photograph set. What does this mean in reality?
The explaination is very simple.
Attribution- anyone using our photographs gives us an appropriate credit for it. This ensures that people aren't taking our photographs and passing them off as their own.
ShareAlike – anyone can use these photographs, and make changes if they like, or incorporate them into a bigger project, but they must make those changes available back to the community under the same terms.
Creative Commons aims to encourage creative sharing. See some examples of Creative Commons photographs on Flickr: www.flickr.com/creativecommons/

Your mobile, tablet, or desktop device will also offer you several different options for sharing this photo page on your social media outlets.
We take these photographs as a hobby and as a contribution to the running community in Ireland. Our only "cost" is our request that if you are using these images: (1) on social media sites such as Facebook, Tumblr, Pinterest, Twitter,LinkedIn, Google+, etc or (2) other websites, blogs, web multimedia, commercial/promotional material that you must provide a link back to our Flickr page to attribute us.
This also extends the use of these images for Facebook profile pictures. In these cases please make a separate wall or blog post with a link to our Flickr page. I would like to contribute something for your photograph(s)?
Many people offer payment for our photographs. As stated above we do not charge for these photographs. We take these photographs as our contribution to the running community in Ireland. If you feel that the photograph(s) you request are good enough that you would consider paying for their purchase from other photographic providers or in other circumstances we would suggest that you can provide a donation to any of the great charities in Ireland who do work for Cancer Care or Cancer Research in Ireland.
I ran in the race - but my photograph doesn't appear here in your Flickr set! What gives?
As mentioned above we take these photographs as a hobby and as a voluntary contribution to the running community in Ireland. Very often we have actually ran in the same race and then switched to photographer mode after we finished the race. Consequently, we feel that we have no obligations to capture a photograph of every participant in the race. However, we do try our very best to capture as many participants as possible. But this is sometimes not possible for a variety of reasons:
►You were hidden behind another participant as you passed our camera
►Weather or lighting conditions meant that we had some photographs with blurry content which we did not upload to our Flickr set
►There were too many people - some races attract thousands of participants and as amateur photographs we cannot hope to capture photographs of everyone
►We simply missed you - sorry about that - we did our best!
You can email us petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com to enquire if we have a photograph of you which didn't make the final Flickr selection for the race. But we cannot promise that there will be photograph there. As alternatives we advise you to contact the race organisers to enquire if there were (1) other photographs taking photographs at the race event or if (2) there were professional commercial sports photographers taking photographs which might have some photographs of you available for purchase. You might find some links for further information above.
Don't like your photograph here?
That's OK! We understand!
If, for any reason, you are not happy or comfortable with your picture appearing here in this photoset on Flickr then please email us at petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com and we will remove it as soon as possible. We give careful consideration to each photograph before uploading.
I want to tell people about these great photographs!
Great! Thank you! The best link to spread the word around is probably http://www.flickr.com/peterm7/sets

I cried after I did this ;(
I am a pack-rat, I keep everything. I even have love notes from my first girlfriend in high school back in the 70s. She (not the high school girlfriend), on the other hand, burns love notes and pics from her ex boyfriends.
This tiny bit of picture is left over from a pic she tore up when she left. I have kept it in my wallet for four years.

This delightful tiny blue flower, the Forget-me-not, is Alaska's state flower.
I was led to believe by the popular Hollywood blockbuster that the lovable bug-eyed alien went home after making that famous phone call. Imagine my shock when I stumbled upon this tiny grave-marker in a quiet English churchyard. I think Mr Spielberg has some explaining to do!
Many people don't like these because they're very invasive. I used to tear them out all the time, but wherever I threw them, some more would come up so finally, I let them grow. :)
This is one that is better seen in the larger version if you have a fast connection, I think.

I likes the way the leaves unfurl , especially the lower leaf, as to almost release the dainty flower within, but still look like they are protecting it.

These forget me nots were all over a bank near Grings Mill Park. They were a lovely sight, but so near the road that they were dangerous to get to especially in sandals without socks!!

Forget-me-not
The Christ Child was sitting on Mary's lap one day and said that he wished that future generations could see her eyes. He touched her eyes and then waved his hand over the ground and blue forget-me-nots appeared, hence the name forget-me-not.
Henry IV adopted the flower as his symbol during his exile in 1398, and retained the symbol upon his return to England the following year.
In a German legend, God named all the plants when a tiny unnamed one cried out, "Forget-me-not, O Lord!" God replied, "That shall be your name."
In 15th-century Germany, it was supposed that the wearers of the flower would not be forgotten by their lovers.
Forget-me-nots may be annual or perennial plants. Most have small (1 cm diameter or less) flat, 5-lobed blue, pink or white flowers with yellow centers, growing on scorpioid cymes. They bloom in spring. Leaves are alternate. Popular in gardens.
Family: Boraginaceae; Subfamily: Boraginoideae; Genus: Myosotis; Species: about 50

The Commer and Foden 2 stroke diesels sound pretty good but pale in comparison to this monster.
The Rolls Royce Griffon is well known for powering some of the ultimate in piston-engined aircraft (and the Shackleton!). It was a descendent of the mighty "R" engines that powered the Supermarine floatplanes which dominated the Schneider Trophy in the pre-war period and not simply an improved Merlin.
Engine capacity of the Griffon is 37 litres (compared to the 27L Merlin).
This example (Griffon Mk 58) comes from an Avro Shackleton and is equipped with cropped versions of Shackleton contra-rotating propellors. At the show it was running on ordinary unleaded and emitting an impressively loud roar with several flames from the exhaust stubs -

Forget Paris is a band from Naugatuck that I have known about for a few years now. We have been talking about working together for a while and finally got a chance to do a shoot today. We toughed out the 19 degree weather and wind that literally took your breath away to get some cool snowy shots. This is my favorite of the group shots.
I got to use my new 24mm 2.8 and I'm beyond happy with how sharp it is. Such a difference.
The guys let me listen to the new album the are putting out in March and I was really impressed with their new stuff. Bummed they are making us wait three months but it will be worth it. :)
Check them out here!
