Growing in one of our nearest neighbour's gardens. They are a real favourite of mine.

Thank you for your favourites. :O)

I always adore seeing this tiny bi-annual flowering in the cottage garden border amongst the honesty and elephant ears.

Remembering those loved ones who have passed. The first ones of Spring this year.

The chair. In the making of the "We Can't Forget Vietnam" documentary this chair travelled all over the state of Texas. Everyone from a Private in the US Army to a Brig General, a Gunnery sergeant to the daughter of a Medal of Honor winner sat in this chair to pour out their hearts to us about their experience in Vietnam. Some of these men and women had never talked about the war to anyone. They trusted us. A life changing experience for me.

I've been out in the garden again with my macro lens. This was hand held, so the IS is coming in handy!

It's amazing what delusions the mind can come up with when you're insecure. We're all guilty of jumping to conclusions. Sometimes there's truth at the heart of it, sometimes it is completely fabricated in the depths of your mind. But what can you do when you don't even know what's real and what isn't?

I think I'm beyond complicated. As a person to the outside world I carry myself pretty well. I smile & laugh too often, I'm way sarcastic and I joke around like it's nobody's business. I give off a vibe that I'm beyond laid-back, but behind the smiles & giggling I battle demons that have been with me since I was a little kid.

Maybe there are two sides to every person. The side that you want the world to believe who you are, the side that you hide.

No way! Not ever!! At least not with this pretty everlasting adorable face! =)

I've been saving this photo for several months. Sorry it's not of red poppies, but I'd like to share my tribute too. Here's the explanation behind the purple poppies:

Purple poppies. To commemorate animal victims of war, Animal Aid in Britain has issued a purple poppy, which can be worn alongside the traditional red one, as a reminder that both humans and animals have been – and continue to be – victims of war.

Here are a series of flower pictures taken in my back garden as part of my covid-19 lockdown series.

Life's too short to fill your heart with hate, forgive and forget.

Forget-me-not (Myosotis scorpioides) Förgätmigej

This guy is a bit of a loner and has resorted to the art of magic and hypnosis to make friends. The one thing he imprints on all the people he uses his skills on is 'Forget me not' so that they won't ever leave him.

Sadly though he's not very good at either magic or hypnotism. For one his hands are far too big to do any slight of hand tricks apart from blocking people's view of the the tricks due to their large size. And while i'm at it check out his eyes, only one of them can do the hypnotist's swirl. This means people just end up feeling queasy instead of the intended hypnosis. Maybe he'll get better with time...

Cheers
