Gave us a quick tour of his brewery, ater that night I got a chance to taste 'Discovery' at the anchor Inn, a lovely pint it was too.

Valley Forge National Historical Park is the site of the third winter encampment of the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War, taking place from December 19, 1777 to June 19, 1778. The National Historical Park preserves the site and interprets the history of the Valley Forge encampment. Originally Valley Forge State Park, it became a national historical park in 1976. The Park contains historical buildings, recreated encampment structures, memorials, museums, and recreation facilities.

Started in 2001. Annual international festival of blacksmiths' works is carried out here.
A) In this picture of Forge Pond. I went on a cloudy day so there was a lot of cool colors showing.
B) The main Element of Design is "Space". The end of the pond fades off into the distance.
C) In this photo I used a small ISO because it was darker then usual outside helping me capture the darker colors.
John Medwedef, owner of Medwedef Forge and Design, uses a pneumatic hammer to shape square steel bars into six-sided handrail for an outdoor staircase commissioned by a customer in Knoxville, TN. The hammer Medwedef uses to forge the hot iron is powered by a ten horsepower motor turning a 3000lb flywheel and fills the work area with a cacophony of rhythmic whirring, chugging and banging. When the machine is running, Medwedef greets visitors to his shop with a smile and an outstretched box of earplugs. (Photo by James McDonnough)

Much better weather today, so it was a quick trip to edge of Grizedale Forest after work.
This is the upper end of the forge force falls with a series of shallow cascades. Is usually quite dark with some sun managing to filter through.
The Old Forge, beside Shill Brook, was transformed into The Red Lion pub, where Mr Bates went to work after he left Downton Abbey in Series 2.
