since we're forecast to get our first frost tonight, i had to bring in all our tomatoes. including these, i think we got twelve heirlooms total off of our four plants.
next summer: no tomatoes in container gardens, plant a lot of roma tomatoes (for canning), use proper tomato stakes, take proper care of tomato plants, etc. in other words, become an altogether more serious gardener

"Enjoy it now," said an analyst at the 2010 UCSB Economic Forecast Project Seminar, "it's going to get a lot worse.
On the afternoon of July 25, you'll notice no 90s or 100s in our forecast. Temps only in the 80s with dewpoints only around 60! Much more comfortable.
Bicycle commuter Will Styles returns home to Falmouth on Monday afternoon via the the multi-use pathway on the new Martin's Point Bridge. The pathway was opened to pedestrians and cyclists one day earlier than anticipated. Construction worker Zac Chickering said about two dozen cyclists and pedestrians crossed on Monday. The outer railing on the pathway is temporary, and work remains before the bridge is expected to open for vehicle traffic this summer.
