Despite a rainy forecast, nearly 200 volunteers showed up on Saturday morning in Tualatin and planted 950 native trees & shrubs along a new area of the Tualatin River Greenway! And to kick off Arbor Day celebrations in true fashion, two large-stock Redwoods were also planted!! The community support in Washington County is impressive beyond words---this work, and this community would not be what it is without you! Thank you!

Slaughterhouse in Maui is a fairly exposed beach break that only works when conditions are just right. Winter is the best time of year for surfing here. The best wind direction is from the southeast. Groundswells more frequent than windswells and the best swell direction is from the north. The beach break offers both left and right hand waves. Good surf at all stages of the tide. Sometimes crowded. Take care of - Rips / undertow - Rocks - Sharks.

This light is a hanging toast to geometric elegance. The Forecast Ceiling Lamp is a lovely pendant with sharp angles and soft warmth. Comes in chrome, rose or gold.

The forecast for Monday Sept. 26. I wanted maybe a background for the forecast like a hot sun or something like that, but I found this shot of 4 flowers and thought that looked good. Then Kevin gave me the idea to edit the photo a little, see if you can tell what I did. Oh, and the average temp for this time of Sept is supposed to be 86.
(Hint: I removed the stems of the center two flowers.)
