âLife should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!â.â -Hunter S. Thompson
Growing up, my prim & proper mom would often tell me âyouâre so hard on thingsâ. Iâd wear out shoes, get my clothes dirty, and scrape myself up quite a bit. As I got older, I realized that I really wasnât hard on things. I take care of my possessions & my body, but Iâve also lived life as fully as I could, and still do.
Just as my clothes, shoes, and gear show signs of use, so does my body, especially as I grow older. I have scars, an elbow that will no longer straighten fully, a fake front tooth, a fingernail that grows weird from being ripped out, and various aches & pains from old injuries. All have their stories behind them and all stem from adventures in a life I feel has been fully lived and full of passion. While I donât love that some of my adventures resulted in injuries, I canât say I regret doing them.
None of us can live a life of no regrets, but Iâd like to have as few as possible when the end comes. Iâll continue to live life not recklessly, but fully, and follow my True North.

Late afternoon at Trearddur Bay, Anglesey.... The weather front which had brought rain to the island on Sunday was passing over, but the winds were whipping up the high tide causing choppy conditions in the bay... Happy days (for a photographer!!)

she's a force of nature
something not to be reckoned with
wind follows her presence
rocks quake with her essence
light encompasses her being
sometimes she's too bright for seeing
leaves fall from her hair
water sparkles on her skin bare
she shatters constellations
cosmic corruption she causes
leaves stars falling in her wake
the sun so hot it bakes
crystals in her eyes
and the ocean in her veins
she reigns.
High Force.....High Force is not the highest waterfall in the country, but it is the biggest. No other creates such a profound impression on the senses,no other has such a dramatic yet beautiful setting. The thunderous crash of its waters can be heard from afar. They fall without grace in a furious rage.It is a spectacle all should see.
Panther Creek Falls is amazing, when I saw the location on social media It was my favorite waterfall in the Pacific North West. When seeing the images on the internet you don't get to judge how large the waterfall actually is. When I first arrived and saw the falls, I was just surprised how big the waterfall actually was. It's just so unique how the water fans out. This image was shot in Summer 2016 during my trip out to see the waterfalls in the Columbia River Gorge. The waterfalls here are quite a lot of fun to explore and find compositions that work for you. The title inspiration for this image comes from one of my favorite childhood shows Power Rangers: Wild Force; their use of the animal themes and the name of this waterfall surely shines under that theme.
