The beautifully idyllic twin cascade of Colwith Force in the Lake District. There was just enough water in to show the power of the falls without having too much spray. I also had the pleasure of watching two Grey Wagtails travelling up and down the beck with food to feed their chicks which were in a nest located just above the waterfall.
Hardraw Force, near the hamlet of the same name in the Yorkshire Dales. I believe it's the highest single drop fall in England (coupd be wrong). Sadly I could only visit during a dry summer when the river flow was not so impressivel, a beautiful spot nonetheless.
Depressingly, my DJI Mavic mini is terrible in low light. No problem though. just crank up the grain and make it look like a Monet painting.

A tall waterfall, though unfortunately with little flow due to the dry weather, passed on the climb up Whernside.
"Force" is local dialect for "falls", (derived from the Norse "Foss") and does not refer to the power of the river. These are the upper (higher) falls on the river Tees and have a 21 metre drop..
Thornton Force falls over 14 metres, where the water has cut through the Limestone and dropped onto the sandstone rocks below. The heavy rainfall in 1816 meant that the river was high and the water would of been gushing over the rocks into the pool below.
Hardraw Force is the longest single drop waterfall in England at 100ft (30m), not counting subterranean waterfalls. Seen during a spell of dry weather, it's a lot more impressive after heavy rain.
Autumn at Low Force in the Teesdale AONB, England.
After heavy rain the falls are in full flow.
