Images shot for Studio 101A in Amherst NH
It's been my pleasure to develop a friendship with newly formed recording studio Studio 101A in Amherst NH.
They wanted some photographs done of some of the bands and musicians who have recorded albums in their studio, and I got a chance to shoot NH singer/songwriter Katie Rose.
I need to shoot more people barefoot. I love it.

For decades my family have taken long and short breaks in the beautiful coastal village of Beer in Devon. We've seen it change quite a lot in that time and on my recent trip I decided to try and document it now in 2015.

Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe and First Lady of Virginia Dorothy McAuliffe host a reception for families of deployed Virginia National Guard Soldiers and Airmen Dec. 5, 2015, at Virginia’s Executive Mansion in Richmond, Virginia. Secretary of Public Safety and Homeland Security Brian Moran, Deputy Secretary of Public Safety and Homeland Security Adam Thiel, Maj. Gen. Timothy P. Williams, the Adjutant General of Virgina, and members of the Virginia National Guard Family Programs Office joined the McAuliffes in thanking the families for their sacrifice and support for the missions their loved ones are performing while they are mobilized on federal active duty. Musicians and singers from Norfolk State University provided holiday music during the reception, and children were invited to decorate holiday cookies. The Virginia National Guard currently has nearly 500 Soldiers from all over the state conducting security and support operations in Southwest Asia and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Since September 11, 2001, more than 15,000 Virginia National Guard Soldiers and Airmen have mobilized on federal active duty for homeland security missions and combat operations, sustainment support and peacekeeping in Iraq, Afghanistan, Bosnia, Kosovo and other locations around the world. For this performance the ‘Dinosaurs! Dinosaurs!’ song had different dinosaurs so that they could include stegosaurus.
For these holidays, I made only a dress in two colors: black and pink, and pearl grey, black and purple. It can be weared with the skirt or without it, putting the bow where you want. Hope you like. More info soon on my blog (please, see my profile).
Today over 220 fine folk participated in the March For Science in Morris, Minnesota, which represents a pretty significant percentage of the local populace out here in rural Minnesota. :-)
These photos go from the gathering of the marchers, through the march, and to the milling about and chatting that eventually results after a small town event.
People should feel free to use any/all of these pictures however they wish. On the flip side, if you appear in any of these pictures and would prefer to have those pictures removed, please let me know right away and I'll take care of that.
Thanks to everyone that turned up. SCIENCE IS AWESOME (and really, really important)!

Salut,
Very proud and happy iam to inform you that Togo (from the pictures I coud see up to now) had the biggest participation in the 350 event. At current information, we managed
Lomé: more than 900 (actually, that is just the number of t-shirt we distributed)
Kara: 700
Dapaong: 100
Aneho: 100
Sokode: 250
Mango: 80
You can make the calculations yourself. Media coverage was excellent! I was on the national TV this midday and enjoyed 15 minutes of interview out of the 30 mn of the total news duration (i was told that iam the first to be so appreciated and privilged).
We have taken in hostage all media in the country. See attached pics for an idea.
Interesting to note, it was under a heavy rain that runners in Lomé participated in the event for more than 2 hours running from our office to the University of Lomé. 70 police men, 10 army fire workers and importantly several well known artist did support the event. You understand that even in the rain, people would wait to see them performing and explain why they support the march for the climate.
By the way, this is the first time ever, when people accepted to be painted by 350 to show their deep support for the event!!!
Thanks for your support
Iam grateful to my wonderful team who made this possible.
Best,

4 hours in make up and we’ll age you 50 years…
We knew we were asking a lot to get the ever hyper Matt and Pip to sit still for 4 hours at the hands of members of the Christine Blundell Make-up Academy.
After all, we were in London, a giant playground for a free runner and skateboarder, so we were expecting mayhem when they were finally allowed to hit the streets.
We were not disappointed.
These less than doddery individuals were a sight to behold as they expelled 3 hours of pent up energy on the surprised public in Camden, the Underground and along the South bank.

35000 people took part in this event for 2013. Part of the Royal Childrens Hospital Appeal. There is a 5km walk, 5 km run and a 15km run. A lot of the city gets shut down to traffic including the City Link tollway which is opened up to the 15km runners who get to run through the Domain Tunnel and across the Bolte Bridge.

For more than 30 years, David Suzuki has been THE voice for nature in Canada. David was born in Vancouver and at the age of six, during the Second World War, he was sent to a Japanese internment camp with his family. After the war, the Suzukis moved to Ontario. Growing up with a passion for nature led David to earn a PhD in zoology from the University of Chicago. Next, he moved back to Canada and started teaching at the University of British Columbia. He also started appearing on television to gain public support for science. By 1971, he had his own show right here on CBC. Eight years later, he debuted a little show called 'The Nature of Things.' David is no stranger to accolades. Al Gore praised him for challenging Canada's environment minster on this country's green plan. His series 'A Planet for the Taking' won an award from the United Nations. He's a companion of the Order of Canada. And he finished fifth in the CBC's search for 'The Greatest Canadian.' He's also authored 43 books. His latest one is called 'David Suzuki's Green Guide - a "how-to" guide to being a green citizen.

The Ambassador for a Day campaign is a flagship initiative of the British Embassy
Sofia.
Launched in 2018 to celebrate International Women’s Day with a positive act, it has now become one of their most recognised and widely supported initiatives.
The concept has evolved over the last two years. In essence, Ambassador for a Day is a national essay competition for girls between 14-18 years old (8th to 11th grade).
The core objectives behind the initiative are:
1. To encourage young girls from across Bulgaria into diplomacy by giving them
the opportunity to experience what it is like to be an Ambassador.
2. To empower them to add their voices and perspectives to issues that affect us
all.

BLAH! I'm sorry we disappeared for a month! My computer crashed and they had to ship it over seas to get fixed. :( Even though I didn't have access to Flickr and couldn't upload pictures for 52 weeks I still took a picture every week! So again I am terribly sorry for miss four weeks of 52 weeks.
Here are links to the other 3 pictures I've missed:
