Fool, Tim Lowly © 1986, etching on paper

Fool sits by the road. Sometimes in the road. It doesn’t seem to matter. The village children call him Fool to his face. He looks up, squinting. “Hey Fool,” the kids yell, “is that the sun or the moon?” He shrugs and writes in the dirt. They persist, “Well, which is it?” Half-smiling, he replies, “I don’t really know… I don’t live here.” They laugh every time. Of course he lives here! Fool laughs also. He waits to go home.

From The End - A series of six etchings with texts. Made in 1985 upon return to the United States after a year in South Korea and six weeks traveling in Europe.

The floodwater is gathering momentum, as it spreads it's influence, occupying every field along it's natural borders...only a fool would enter these waters now...

These two women and their friends had travelled from Washington State to New Orleans for JazzFest which they do every year. They were certainly planning on having a good time

THANKS FOR YOUR VISIT AND FOR TAKING THE TIME TO WRITE A COMMENT IT’S MUCH APPRECIATED.

IF YOU WANT TO FOLLOW MY STREAM I SUGGEST YOU OUGHT TO READ MY PROFILE FIRST

First time I have ever seen either of these bucks...interesting looking neck on the one on the right & the one on the left, he seemed to be the ringleader of the group (7 bucks in all).

Winners and losers, turn the pages of my life.

We’re beggars and choosers, with all the struggles and the strife. I got no reason to turn my head and look the other way.

We’re good and we’re evil. Which one will I be today?

There’s saints and sinners. Life’s a gamble and you might lose

There’s cowards and heroes Both have been known how to break the rules

There’s lovers and haters. The strong and the weak will all have their day

Are you happy now with all the choices you’ve made?

Are there times in life when you know you should’ve stayed?

Will you compromise and then realize the price is too much to pay?

Winners and losers, which one will you be today?

There’s a a light and a dark side standing at the crossroads.

There we’ll meet.

There’s prophets and fools there. The lies and the truths, will be at our feet.

I got a reason to turn my head and look the other way.

It’s heaven and hell here, which one will I live today?

The Moth- Ah, you have finally bloomed. My master, I, The Moth, am your humble servant. Please. Show me the path to save Gotham!

Charaxes- Paaaaaaaaaaantssssss

The Moth- I’m sorry, Your Grace?

Charaxes- I require pants. Or did you think I desired to reveal myself to this world while dressed in clown clothes?

The Moth- Of course not My Lord. It was Carson, he had quite the peculiar dress sense. And a tail. For reasons I can't quite understand...

Charaxes- Do not dare to insult me fool. I have still have Ted Carson memories. His anger. Hatred. Such burning hatred. For one name. Drury Walker.

——————————————————

Gar- Drury Walker. 15 years and you still can’t keep up. Come on

Drury- Sorry. I haven’t heisted in years!

Gar- Keep your voice down. Look. Kobra guards.

Drury- Huh, I’m tight with Kobra. Maybe I should just ask for the fossil.

Gar- Like that’ll work...

Drury- I don’t know why me and Miranda don’t get paid maternity leave

Gar- It’s because Supervillainy isn’t a job, it’s a hobby

Drury- Like roasting pigs?

Gar- Like roasting pigs

Drury- Maybe you should’ve become a chef. Pie Man did it and makes millions.

Gar- For swearing like mad.

Drury- Pretty clever though. Changing his name like that

Gar- It’s dumb, be a villain and proud. Now ssh!

Drury- Sshing now

Baby- Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah

Kobra 1- Was that a baby?

Baby-Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah

Kobra 2- In the vents!

Gar- What did you do? What did you do?!

Drury- Wrong radio

So, I've been wanting to do a set of shots, based on tarot cards, for a while now. I'm hoping to do the whole of the major arcana at least and for all the tarot purist (and trust me I understand, I have 7 decks at the moment) this set is going to be Inspired by tarot, rather that an acurate symbolic representation!

This isn't exactly what I wanted to do but it's pouring down with rain... again and i'm kinda limited.

See Marge, told you I'd be using the paint again soon ;-)

BIG HUGE thanks to Pareeerica for the textures and the background! you rock!

And thanks to BFstock on DA for the lovely pooch!

Anyway, I know this is different from what I normally do, but it sure was fun... think I'll be trying this style again!

ODC-Entertainment (Fool/clown/harlequin... the oldest entertainment there is)

A test run from Crewe and back had the manoeuvres at Chester to suggest that it might be steam. It was actually D9000 again but with a buffet restaurant carriage attached! Seen near Wardle on its first of two trips.

He was the king of fools and they all laughed along.

After being bumped while trying to shoot fireworks without a tripod. I noticed the resulting picture to have a swirling effect. I started taking shots while motioning the camera in tight CW circles. This one worked out pretty good.

I NEED TO BE IN LOVE ♥ THE CARPENTERS

"I know I ask perfection of a quite imperfect world and fool enough to think that's what I'll find."

Our only fools Xmas party.

Last week I took my family to Cape Kiwanda for mothers day despite the forecast of rain . I haven't shot any seascapes with the new gear so I had been itchin to give it shot. 30 minutes prior to this it was a full on monsoon where each drop of rain felt like cubes of ice pounding on your skull. There was very little wave action going on so a ventured pretty far down the sandstone to capture what little wave action there was. When the sun broke through I looked down at my feet and the stone shimmered like gold .

American Fool is the fifth studio album by John Mellencamp, released under the stage name John Cougar in 1982. The album was his commercial breakthrough, holding the No. 1 position on the Billboard album chart for nine weeks.

The Fool or The Jester is titled Le Mat in the Tarot of Marseilles, and Il Matto in most Italian language tarot decks. These archaic words mean "the madman" or "the beggar", and may be related to the word for 'checkmate' in relation to the original use of tarot cards for gaming purposes.

In the earliest Tarot decks, the Fool is usually depicted as a beggar or a vagabond.

The Tarot of Marseilles and related decks similarly depict a bearded person wearing what may be a jester's hat; he always carries a bundle of his belongings on a stick slung over his back. He appears to be getting chased away by an animal, either a dog or a cat. The animal has torn his pants. In the Rider-Waite Tarot deck and other esoteric decks made for cartomancy, the Fool is shown as a young man, standing on the brink of a precipice. In the Rider-Waite deck, he is also portrayed as having with him a small dog.

In many esoteric systems of interpretation, the Fool is usually interpreted as the protagonist of a story, and the Major Arcana is the path the Fool takes through the great mysteries of life and the main human archetypes. This path is known traditionally in Tarot as the Fool´s Journey, and is frequently used to introduce the meaning of Major Arcana cards to beginners. The Fool is the spirit in search of experience. He represents the mystical cleverness bereft of reason within us, the childlike ability to tune into the inner workings of the world. He is seemingly unconcerned that he is standing on a precipice, apparently about to step off.

The number 0 is a perfect significator for the Fool, as it can become anything when he reaches his destination. Zero plus anything equals the same thing. Zero times anything equals zero. Zero is nothing, a lack of hard substance, and as such it may reflect a non-issue or lack of cohesiveness for the subject at hand.

Life is not easy. After a hard day's work, endless house chores meet you at home. What do you think would a douse of cold water do to a tired and aching body?

Day 91 - April 1, 2010

Big Danbo invited Little Danbo to the park today for a picnic but never showed up. Apparently, it was one big April Fool's Day joke. Tsk, tsk.

What do you suggest Little Danbo do to get back at him? Leave a suggestion in the comments and the best one I'll use in the follow up photo to this one. Be as creative as possible.
