Macro strobist challenge: shot with my EF 100mm macro lens 2.8
Strobist data: Slice of kiwi, on clear glass, propped up over an area that has been masked underneath to allow light through the glass just into the slice.
Below the masked area of the glass sits a 580ex, hotshoe cord to my Canon 30D.

Teriyaki Pineapple Chicken Meatball Kabobs, Field Green Salad with Cherry tomatoes and feta, Cucumber, Tomato and Watermelon salad with Feta and Kalamata Olives.
How we eat hotpot at home in Singapore: shrimp, sukiyaki-sliced beef, sausages (NOT typical; mistake by the maid), fresh scallops, bacon (NOT typical; mistake by the maid), tofu, egg tofu, chicken, salmon. Dad also buys live crabs for the soup and there's also plenty of fishballs and veggies.
Decided to put this meal together.
We found the premade seitan for a very good price at a local grocery store so we picked up I marinated it in BBQ sauce all day and then threw it in the oven covered with alminum foil on 350 while I cooked everything else.
I used this recipe for the collard greens [ vegetarian.about.com/od/sidevegetabledishes/r/greensnrice... ]. I have never had collard greens before and I'm not too sure I like them, I will have to try another recipe before I make my decision.
The sweet potato was easy, I just peeled it and then cubed it and boiled it until it was properly tender and then drizzled some honey on top for the dish.
My first raw dinner of the new year.
The Salad is : Romaine and Spinach, Sprouts, Avocado topped with a homemade sunflower seed pate and then some grated carrots, with a simple dressing of apple cider vinegar and olive oil.
and I made a simple appetizer to go with it. Just sliced cucumbers and I took some sliced radishes and let them sit in some apple cider vinegar and salt and pepper and then put them on top of the cucumbers right before serving.
