The Magic Fountain of Montjuïc (Catalan: Font màgica de Montjuïc, Spanish: Fuente mágica de Montjuic) is a fountain located at the head of Avenida Maria Cristina in the Montjuïc neighborhood of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. The fountain is situated below the Palau Nacional on the Montjuïc hill and near the Plaça d'Espanya and Poble Espanyol de Barcelona. The fountain, like most of the surrounding developments, was constructed for the 1929 Barcelona International Exposition.
The Magic Fountain was designed by Carles Buigas, who had designed illuminated fountains as early as 1922. The site where the fountain was constructed was the previous location of The Four Columns. The columns, representative of the Catalanism movement, were demolished in 1928 under the rule of Prime Minister Migel Primo de Rivera[1] and were re-erected in 2010 a few meters away from the original location.
An HDR shot of the stunning font which is used for baptisms, inside Salisbury Cathedral. The water has a glass like appearance reflecting the ceiling of the cathedral and constantly flows from the four corners.

Week 24 Fonts
A bit late with posting this one as I got in a muddle with the other weekly challenge I'm doing with Global Nomad (Lynda Higgs Photography) - got the weeks titles mixed up!
Anyhow, here's a contribution, taken just this morning at my fave coffee stop, Café With Art, the one I use when I come into town after dropping the children at school, and then have to kill a bit of time before the shops open! Cracking excuse, hey? I love the motif and words on the cup that contains my Americano, medium roast, top strength for early morning galvanisation.
The font was designed by William Pye and installed in the cathedral in 2008. It was consecrated the same year by the Archbishop of Canterbury. Considering how modern and minimalistic the font is, it fits in beautifully with the ornate building which dates back to 1220.

Beautiful window reflections in the water of the magnificent font in Salisbury cathedral.
The water is actually moving - but the surface is incredibly reflective!

This is the wonderful font in Salisbury cathedral:
The Salisbury font was designed by the renowned British water sculptor William Pye. It was installed in September 2008 and dedicated by the Archbishop of Canterbury during the celebration of the 750th anniversary of the consecration of the Cathedral.
Cruciform in shape, the font has a 3-metre span to allow total immersion baptism. It is a green patinated bronze vessel with a Purbeck Freestone plinth and brown patinated bronze grating. Water is the predominant feature, and here two contrasting aspects of water are woven seamlessly together. There is stillness expressed in the smooth surface which reflects and extends the surrounding architecture, while the flow and movement of water passing through spouts at each of the four corners and disappearing through a bronze grating set into the floor expresses its essential life giving properties.
El cotxe 124 de Font és una Mercedes Benz 516CDI amb carrosseria Integralia In Urban. A la fotografia la veiem circulant a la linia 685, que uneix Ripollet i Montcada. Aquest vehicle va estar asignat anteriorment a una llençadora del aparcament de llarga estada del aeroport del Prat i encara manté la lliurea.
El cotxe 33 de Autocares Font era un Mercedes O402 amb carrosseria Castrosua CS40. Aquest cotxe procedia de TMB a on tenia la calca 4108. A TMB va entrar en servei l'any 1987, passant a Font l'any 2000. Finalment és retirat l'any 2007. Actualment ha estat recuperat per TMB i està preservat per Patrimoni Històric en espera de restauració.

Getting a good shot was a bit like a genteel scrum due to the number of visitors, but this font gives superb reflections of the cathedral interior as you walk round it.

La Llotja, situada dins dels límits del nucli emmurallat de la població, a l'antic barri del puig Salner, al costat de la basílica menor de Santa Maria.
Santa Maria de Castelló d'Empúries, Catedral de l'Empordà o Catedral de Castelló d'Empúries és una església gòtica situada al barri del Puig Salner del nucli antic de Castelló d'Empúries (Alt Empordà).
Fou construït a sobre l'església romànica primitiva, de la qual en queden alguns vestigis, com els primers pisos de la torre campanar o la gran pica baptismal.
És una basílica situada a la plaça Mossèn Cinto Verdaguer. Es tracta d'un clar exponent de l'arquitectura del gòtic català.

The "innominada" Fountain in the Plaça de la Llotja in Castelló d'Empúries (Alt Empordà) CAT.
La Llotja, located within the limits of the town's walled core, in the old district of Puig Salner, next to the minor basilica of Santa Maria.
Santa Maria de Castelló d'Empúries, Catedral de l'Empordà or Catedral de Castelló d'Empúries is a Gothic church located in the Puig Salner district of the old town of Castelló d'Empúries (Alt Empordà).
It was built on top of the primitive Romanesque church, of which some vestiges remain, such as the first floors of the bell tower or the large baptismal font.
It is a basilica located in Plaça Mossèn Cinto Verdaguer. It is a clear exponent of Catalan Gothic architecture.

Il tema dell’intera composizione è il mare. È inserita in un’ampia piscina rettangolare dagli angoli arrotondati, circondata da un camminamento che la percorre da un lato all’altro, racchiuso a sua volta entro una breve scalinata poco al di sotto del livello stradale della piazza. Il Salvi ricorse al sistema della scalinata per compensare il dislivello tra i due lati della piazza: il lato sinistro (quello verso il colle del Quirinale) è infatti molto più elevato rispetto all’altro, tant’è che si è anche dovuto ricorrere ad un breve parapetto per delimitare la strada, parzialmente coperto da rocce, su una delle quali è scolpito uno stemma Cardinalizio raffigurante un leone rampante.
The theme of the whole composition is the sea . It is inserted in a wide rectangular pool by the rounded corners , surrounded by a trench that runs through it from side to side , enclosed in turn within a short staircase just below the street level of the square . The Salvi resorted to the system of steps to compensate for the difference in height between the two sides of the square : the left side ( the side to the Quirinal Hill ) is in fact much higher than the other , so much so that he even had to resort to a short parapet to mark the road , partially covered with rocks , one of which is carved a coat of arms depicting a lion rampant Cardinals .

The logo of library is lovely rounding font. it is designed by Japanese famous graphic designder Atsushi Hirano(平野 篤史).
