She is working on getting that focus just right, she had found the perfect place to take her seascape shot, but now she wants to make sure the image comes out just right.
Still on the theme of model car interiors, this is the Ferrari 308 GTS by model maker Norev. Their models are also at the lower end of the budget but start to include such niceties as carpet. Also nice to see them include that wonderful and traditional Ferrari chrome gate for the gear lever, which itself had the gear pattern on top of the lever. This model even has a tinted band at the top of the windscreen (remember them?) No opening doors on this model, but it does have a removable roof. Sat nav in this one is a good old fashioned street directory and a road atlas (or whatever you might have called your maps in the rest of the world) - ah, the good old days!
A 12 image focus stack taken with the Canon R10, with the RF 16mm lens. Lighting from a medium warm LED desk lamp around 6 inches above the model.
The camera lens was actually touching the model for this macro shot, and the total width of the model is about 3 inches.
The dust is full size! I really did dust this before shooting! ; )
The other day I tried out my wildlife lens on my A7R2. Auto focus was not as good or as fast as with the A6400, but low noise and lots of detail.

Wasps are excellent pollinators! *Most* wasps won't sting unless absolutely necessary. The same cannot be said about Yellowjackets. They'll sting you over and over just for something to do. Wasps are easy to photograph. They move slower than bees, they're larger, and their contrasting colors, without hair, are easy to focus on.

WHAT IS FOCUS STACKING ? ( WITH BLACK ANT ) ?
Focus stacking combines multiple images focused on a different spot to make a resulting image with a greater depth of field than any of the individual source images.
It’s a technique designed to overcome the limits of depth of field, in other words, when the camera’s setup can’t handle its depth of field capabilities.

I focus on what I know. I know that there are things I do not know - known Unknowns. However, when focussing on the Unknowns my knowledge is useless. Four LED spotlights in a dark room, processed in Fujifilm's raw converter.
With autumn almost ending and winter is coming, not much subjects that can be used to photograph in our garden.

A Hume's Leaf Warbler (Phylloscopus humei) was scanning foraging opportunities in the afternoon in its natural habitat full of thorny perches. It never came out in the open lights and continued its call within the bushes. The posture here is typical warbler in search of insects. Pics was taken from Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary in West Bengal, India.

No, Kurt aka Ian Sane has not hijacked my flickr account. Still me, still trying out new things. I had Kurt in mind when I processed this shot, as it reminded me of something that he might take. If you haven't seen his work, head on over and check it out. You won't be disappointed.
I have a bunch of HDRs that I want to post, but I am trying to not post wide angle cityscapes everyday. Just switching it up a bit. Don't worry though, HDR is still my one true photography love!
Took this one a little while back before a Penguins game. It was absolutely freezing, bitterly cold out, and I actually had to wait for the people to get in the shot before I took it. Not a very pleasant wait!

These gulls are the most common and plentiful in numbers here in Australia - so I set myself the task of trying to portray one in a unique way.
