first moon shot using prime focus with my old telescope

Quand j'ai vu ces deux arbres au loin, mon focus s'est fixé dessus ! Mon appareil était équipé avec un grand angle, alors j'ai monté mon objectif 90 mm pour cette prise de vue. Qu'est ce que le focus ? En photographie, c'est faire une mise au point pour que l'image soit nette. C'est aussi un synonyme de concentration. Dans mon esprit, le focus est le point d'attention sur lequel mon regard se porte dans mon champ de vision. C'est comme se concentrer sur une émotion dans le champ des possibles. Chacun peut orienter son regard où il veut, mais est ce qu'on peut donner une direction à sa vie, en orientant son focus vers son objectif ?

I was pleasantly surprised with the Brenda Dress fatpack from Eternus in my inventory today, won from a recent FB giveaway ♥ It took my mind off missing Das Tungsten now that he's returned home, but my god, it took me a long time to focus and take the damn shots!!

Brenda is available from the Salem Macabre Market event until October 22.

I love when I catch my darling Snugs in a bird watching stance as I did here. Her focus is total and she is not even aware of me taking her picture. I normally find it hard to get a good picture of her, especially if she is aware as she comes toward me and gets too close.

I'm a little disappointed in my technique here, as critical focus should have been on the heavens. But it was a beautiful night, a beautiful display and worth sharing.

Spotted a fellow Leica shooter locked into the moment during the Palio delle Oche in Campomarino. Shot on the Q2 Monochrom with a quick preset tweak to lift those silver curls and separate her profile from the crowd.

From almost a month ago...lots of colors still here though even after a snowfall last week

I have reopened the bird restaurant outside the living room window and the birds noticed it immediately. Tofu is happy too as he doesn't even have to go out for a closer look at his feathered friends. :)

A green heron focusing on his next meal.

A 3-image, handheld focus stack of an American Oil Beetle (Cantharidae) that was very busy scouring the forest floor and tree trunks. I have been corrected, this is a male, identified by his specialized antennae which are used to grasp the female for, you know.... A type of blister beetle, when aggravated they emit a toxic chemical called cantharidin, which causes blisters and is a painful irritant to human skin. So glad I did know this at the time, considering that it was maybe 18cm (7”) away from my face while shooting these. 😮
