On Saturday we went to see the dance performance of the Uzumaru Yosakoi team in San Francisco's Japantown. It was a very lively performance with lots of energy, well done!

Sethi sat like this for quite a while and stared into the neighbour's garden. I guess he was wondering why birds and squirrels always seek refuge there whenever he is around. .)

I really like the way this focused Owl and the piering orange eyes contrast with the blurred pastel green background.

Special Thank to mine 2 friend Antony&Heloq to help me

On a Saturday in mid August we attended the annual Sacramento contest powwow in Sacramento, California. Indigenous people of America gathered from all over the USA and Canada. Groups of many different tribes gather in a big circle. The tribes drum and chant, one group after the other, while dancers in traditional dress dance in the center of the circle. Elders judge the performances - a friendly competition. We could feel the energy on the field, a real uplifting experience!

Sometimes I'm not sure whether I want to focus on the foreground or the background. Here, I chose the :

To be fair, the forest was all around while enjoying this walk in Kincaid Park. For this image though I decided to focus on this one section of forest and trees. There was a combination of the more distant trees as well as the tall grasses and small bushes that added to the foreground and a more complete setting.
