I just walked the dogs around a very rain sodden field & came across this single Buttercup with a small fly resting inside. Perfect for Flyday the 13th November HFDF!

Wahoo to Fridays and especially FlyDays!! 😊
Hope you are all well, so sorry I've not been very proactive on Flickr. I will catch soon I promise! Have a lovely weekend ahead! X
Lovely to see this footballer hoverfly visiting my garden yesterday. Happy Flyday Friday have a great day folks ;0)
Here we are again, Flyday Friday. A late-in-the-season fruit fly, of the family Tephritidae. What I'm curious about are the dozens of tiny insects all over this leaf. No idea what they may be, in fact, I did not even see them until I got home and looked at the image on my computer screen. Anyone have a clue?
PLEASE: Do not post any comment graphics, they will be deleted. See info in my bio.

Took a turn round the car park on my way home and found this Hoverfly on a leaf. It must have been half asleep as it let me take loads of photos, this and one other came out OK as it was in a really horrible place for a photo.
Better viewed large and thank you for your favourites. :O)
Don't think this is the star for the top of my tree! But thought this clever little fly deserved it's place on Flyday! HFDF Hope you all manage a fun day and weekend. ;0)
I presume "it" is a "he" from the antennae.
I was quite pleased with the general look of this picture and the detail on the head. Those "fangs" are fascinating.
Happy FlyDay everyone!
There were only two daisies blooming in this section of the field and these two Hover Flies kept darting back and forth between the two.
Happy Fly Day Friday
