My grandfather made me this flower box when I was in grad school. This summer, I have it hanging off the side of our deck with these lovely flowers (vincas). I took this picture to show him.

Flowerbox on the front porch. This is a mostly shaded area, so I filled the boxes with shade loving plants. Begonias, New Guinea Impatiens, Coleus and an interesting spiky houseplant for good measure.
