Shirley has larger poppy sculptures at Poppy Island near Solihull Village, and their ''Welcome to Shirley' signs has an image of a poppy.

It seemers like only yesterdays that Mireille was wantings the helpers from my nature-lovings alter egos Dr B. Greenthumbs, and now checkers out the fruiters of our labours, awesomes flowers in our hangings flower boxers on the balcony.
I likers to gets up closer and personals with the flowers, as I believers in the rumours that talkings to the planters and flowers makes them happiers and grows betters.

Sneem, a village on the Iveragh Peninsula in County Kerry, southwest of Ireland on the estuary of the River Sneem. National route N70 runs through the town.
Boston's brownstone apartments sport beautiful gardens and window boxes throughout the city. This one in the Beacon Hill Area, caught my eye with its bluebells. Happy Fifth Flower and Feliz Quinta Flores to you all!

The Root River meanders through Racine and is said to be the reason the first settlers picked this spot for their future town. The artist is Megan Hirsch.
The 2019 public art project entries were unveiled June 1. They are benches with attached flower boxes built by the Veterans Outreach group and decorated by local artists. The theme is "Racine's Past, Present and Future".

Tuesday, 13 February 2024: our temperature just before 5:00 pm is -5°C (FEELS LIKE -14°C). Sunrise was at 7:53 am and sunset will be at 5:47 p m. A mix of sun and clouds today. So glad it wasn't snowing today, as my TV died this morning and I had to go out and buy a new one. Won't be delivered till 21 February!
Yet again, I am diving into my archives, as I have not been getting a chance to get out for a drive. If I wrote a description under any previously-posted photos that were taken on the same days as these 'new' photos posted this evening, I will add it under today's uploads.
"Had a great day on 14 September 2013, with my youngest daughter's photography group! We spent a few hours at Heritage Park, Calgary, wandering through the streets lined with old stores and houses, farm equipment, animals, barns, and so on. Our favourites have always been the Bakery and the Candy Store : )
Around noon, we went to the old Wainwright Hotel and enjoyed chatting over lunch - a nice treat. Weather was great and so was the company. Today (next day), it's a special events day at the Park, but we knew that it would be so packed, difficult to park."
