I have been working on the HQ flowform and now firmly believe it to be a good kite in strong winds. Its poor angle of attack is an asset in Beaufort 4. I flew today in something like 25mph peak wind speed: its very stable at these wind speeds and the pull is manageable, its about the same size as the Sutton ff30 which gets to be a real hand-full at these speeds. I used the AutoKAP rig as a test load really but got enough decent shots for this PTGui montage of 8 shots. The kite was drogued which helped avoid the inversions its prone to in turbulence at launch and landing.

Steve Sutton's wonderful Flowform 30 : On the left flying in 6.5mph wind speed on the right 7.2. I am working towards a set of shots showing optimum drouge arrangements for this kite. It responds well to a drouge but the angle of attack is reduced massively so I'm trying to figure out what the threshold wind-speed is to fly drouged and just how big the drouge should be.
