There is a talk about a storm more powerful than the first one will start tomorrow. More flooding and landslides warning and the lack of sandbags!
I hope the weather where you are is better than ours.

Opened by the Queen in 1984, the Thames Barrier cost £500 million to build and spans 520m (1,706ft) across the river Thames at Woolwich Reach, in south-east London.
The Thames Barrier is composed of 10 gates, which are raised monthly for testing. These gates help to regulate the flow of water in the Thames, which is a tidal river all the way to Teddington Lock in south-west London. The barrier stops tidal surges from flooding large parts of London, as well as during periods of high flow in Teddington Weir.

The River Ver, here northeast of Redbourn, Hertfordshire, is a chalk stream and usually struggling to flow at all. The reason is that a lot of water is being pumped away for towns, villages, and industries. But recently, the weather has been bad with weeks of rainfall. Suddenly, this tiny stream is causing flooding. Samyang wide-angle lens at approx. F11.
Last summer we took a roadie to New Mexico for a Celebration of Life in remembrance of my mom who passed away in July of 2020.
On the way back to SoCal we made a whirlwind through three National Parks; Mesa Verde, Bryce Canyon, and Arches.
We were on a pretty tight schedule so we didn't have the luxury of spending a great deal of time at any of them.
As luck would have it, it was later in the day and we didn't have to wait in the horrific lines that plagued Arches last summer as millions cooped up during the pandemic flooded to the National Parks in record numbers.
We only made one stop in the park; on The Windows Road where several arches are clustered.
This rainbow with the La Sal Mountains serving as a stunning background was an added bonus.
If you know your Spanish, I think you can probably tell how the range which is the second highest in the state of Utah, got its name.
We have been experiencing heavy rains the last few days and some of the streams and rivers have overflowed their banks. This Red Fox used a network of fallen trees and logs to navigate across the flood plain. It was an amazing experience to see the speed and agility in which it moved through the area.
Flooded field in Standlake, West Oxfordshire, which lies next to the River Windrush. This is usually a field full of sheep, but recently has been home to a few swans.
The unmade road where I sometimes cycle is flooded and temperature is only 8 degrees C
It ought to be at least 20C and in 2018 we had about 30 degrees at this time of the month.

We went from a mild drought to excessive rains, and flooding with more moisture in the forecast! Although it was a beautiful morning with mild temps, a slight breeze and "popcorn" clouds floating overhead!

Usually the floods are in the spring, but this year it has been raining continuously since July, as a result of which the rivers overflowed their banks and the lakes are constantly at the flood limit.
Our delightful Spring weather has brought rain, snow, and then more rain. As a result the River Avon has decided to flex it's muscles and go for a wander across the fields of Worcestershire.
Although it is hard to tell there is actually a weir underneath these swirling waters at Cropthorne Mill, the river is flowing straight over it with barely a ripple.
