one of the images I took for Macro Mondays, theme 'tableware' of December 4.
This is the same glass as in the image I used for the group, here taken from above with cyan glitter foam rubber in the background (I have several of those sheets in different colours)
7 Days of Bokeh Madness - Day 3
I really don't know whether I will be finishing this series, but it's rather fun so far : )

Tonlé Sap lake in Cambodia is part of the Mekong River system and the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia. The size and depth of the lake change dramatically depending on wet or dry season, so structures can't sit on pylons. There are also floating stores, schools, storehouses, henhouses and other structures. Most people are engaged in fishing or trading.

White new construction
Architect Erick van Egeraat consciously chose the color white for the new construction of the Drents Museum. White is neutral, so that the museum's colorful collection comes into its own. White also provides an exciting contrast with the historic buildings of the museum. The contrast should draw visitors down from the dark coach house. “You even get the feeling that downstairs is upstairs,” says the architect.
The floating stairs in the new building of the Drents Museum weigh 16,000 kilos each and are only attached to the upper and lower floors.
Wizard Island, Crater Lake, Oregon. I saw you from far across the water, where shadows now walk up cliffsides, as if you were floating on a sea of blue. I was taking the long way around to where you rose, so elegantly, from somewhere so deep. From the moment I saw, I knew that was where I wanted to be. I took my time along the rim, marvelling at water so blue, awed that what I was travelling around was a single mountain once, how massive it must have been before it erupted, hundreds of centuries ago. Reaching here, I sat high on the edge of the caldera, at a point so close. And closeness showed the hardness of your beauty, the sharpness of your edges, the coldness of your landscape that the cloak of distance hid....the cinders of your self destruction. In the end we probably all reveal what we are, but pretend we are not. And I wondered if it was really worth knowing, as you floated on a sea of blue, under a sky of pink, just out of reach.

Smile on Saturday! - FLOATING
Many thanks to everyone who took the time to view, comment and fave my photo. It’s really appreciated. 😊

Visitors at the far end of the terrace at the Terrazza del Palazzo Senza Tempo in Peccioli, Pisa, Tuscany.
The terrace, created in 2022 by architect Mario Cucinella, extends out into the open air over a steep hillside. It gives a sense of floating and freedom and offers superb uninterrupted countryside views. It is not for those without a head for heights!
Part of the MACCA, an open-air museum of contemporary art that is full of surprises.
There is something to photographing flowers in a way that the steam is invisible. With the right background they appear to be floating in the air.

The Hood Canal bridge is a floating bridge that connects the Olympic and Kitsap Peninsulas. At 7,869 feet (1.490 mi; 2.398 km) in length (floating portion 6,521 feet (1.235 mi; 1.988 km)), it is the longest floating bridge in the world located in a saltwater tidal basin, and the third longest floating bridge overall. The turquoise water and white sand is an effect of a Sodium Bicarbonate factory that pours residue into the Mediterranean. It's safe for swimming though, IF you can swim. Otherwise, maybe a floating device will help.
