Here are some of my favourite Flickr "hacks" (they're toys really) that make photopages work much better. Hover your mouse over the image to see the notes and links (bold text) to the hacks. To use most of them you must first install the Firefox browser (click here) and then GreaseMonkey (click here). There's a group dedicated to them here. I add new hacks all the time, check below for details. Also, if any of you are budding Admins or moderators I have a group that might interest you called Admin Help that, amongst other things explains how to use hacks to run a group.

Every year I published the highlights in a Flickr album of the photos that I uploaded during the year, for this one I decided to do the same but plus create a video about it, enjoy!

I think that it’s a great way to see how my photography dramatically changed (and I hope improved), through those amazing years on Flickr!

Here are my most interesting shots of:

2014

Thank you so much for your amazing continuos support, lookin’ forward to have another, more amazing adventure, in the year 2015 here on Flickr, hope you’ll still join me ... it’s gonna be awesome! :)

N.B. There might be some changes on the 2014 set up to the 31th of December, due tech problems this video will be not updated.

I know I said I would stay, but I don't enjoy it as much anymore. With these new changes there will be very left of the Flickr I loved. Still - trying to stay positive!

I did one yesterday for BigHugeLabs on black, and I felt I owed Flickr a quick image too. :-) (I only have CAPS)

The carrion crow (Corvus corone) is a passerine bird of the family Corvidae and the genus Corvus which is native to western Europe and eastern Asia. It can grow to twenty inches in length with a wingspan of up to thirty nine inches. Highly intelligent, utterly beautiful with an amazingly detailed and rich plumage, these stunning birds are much maligned and tainted with unfair tags attributed through folklore and ignorance. I love 'em!

A distant memory of sunny days and when Flickr used to be far more user friendly. I am becoming more and more disillusioned with how slow Flickr has become since the recent changes; this is regardless of which computer, Ipad, browser or broadband I seem to use. Most of the time It takes an age for thumbnails to open and I am rapidly becoming fed up with looking at the red and blue circles accompanied by an out of focus image. It may well be down to higher quality downloads being allowed, which are slowing the system down - who knows?

I dread to think what it will be like should even more changes be imposed upon us.

Sadly I am getting to the stage where I'm beginning to wonder if Flickr is deserving of my support and the support of its loyal customers!

PS. This is a photo of a Blue-Tailed Damselfly...

Flickr Has Been an Wonderful Platform For Photo Enthusiasts Like Me. Right now it is far better than any other photo sharing sites. Don't change yourself Flickr. Stay As You Are. It has been an wonderful experience with you.

Question ??? but how the fuck did they censor this one for nudity when I'm not naked and I'm at the beach in a public place!!!! #Flickr is about your parameters. Art has no colour, no nation, no politics that dominate it. Today the ART MARKET rules, not ART . YOU #Flickr was the most serious place for photographic artists where they could publish (with the right restrictions) what they wanted. But you dear #Flickr follow political parameters .... more and more absurd and restrictive for the people. Even you #Flickr, who to me are like home.... have let me down.

I have moderated this photo (the original) as you asked, it is an injustice, and you #Flickr should reflect on the fact that you should not go against art but only against pornography.

but...This photo is not art! it is not pornography!, it is not even nudity!, #Flickr cure yourself, meditate, reflect, let yourself be psychoanalysed, let yourself be disipoliticised Thank you

Thank you for 2.9 million views in two years (Apr-2017 to Apr-2019)

This is a scan of an original kodachrome slide. It was scanned with an Epson Pro V750, and finished up with very minor post processing work in Photoshop. The default size of this image is 2000x1250 pixels.

Clicking on the photo will enlarge it

The original comes from my own slide collection, which contains both my own photos and those acquired over the past forty or so years collecting.

I began uploading photos into this Flickr photostream to create a home for the slides that have been part of my collection. They deserve to be enjoyed by the aircraft enthusiast community as a whole rather than being tucked away in boxes and binders. Think of it like an old time aircraft slide show but for the 21st century.

Comments are welcome.

If you want to see your own stats, go to your photostream and select popular from the ... pull down menu on the right.

For heaven's sake let us turn off Justified Images and reintroduce pagination... at least then this mess might not run so damn slow.

You know they actually bucket-tested this new layout? And then ignored all the feedback and released this bug-ridden joke.

Sheesh... not even Barbie is *that* dumb!

I usually embrace change but am very unhappy with the new flickr. I won't be renewing my pro account. I'm moving to 500px.com/gwendolen for now.

I might continue to use flickr for my iPhone pix though.

Please forgive me for having uploaded the Nelson Mandela Memorial photos first. But I felt this was a worthy exception to today now. I didn't see the protest until I had uploaded them.
