From now on I'll be posting about people on flickr you just can't miss and must MUST visit their photostreams. These are people who inspire me and basically leave me spellbound with their work. I'll be doing this every now and then focusing on one person at a time.

The eighteenth person I am posting about is the one of a kind photographer, Lara Jade Coton. I seriously run out of words to describe her work because it's just gorgeous in every aspect of the word. Her talent is without limits. I mean, just look at those images! They leave me speechless. I dont know what more I could say but this, you must MUST visit her photostream! :D

Seriously? Yes, this really is a road near Dallas, TX. Of course I may or may not have removed an "e"

Finally attempted to do a decent flickr cover shot, after looking online and playing around for a while this seems to be the best way.... ( so the image looks OK on a PC/Mac, Tablets and phones of mobility).

The image is 2560x2560... so that I could have 5 thumbnails (512px width), the height is guess work and I'm still playing around with. The reason why a big square box is simply to try to force Flickr to display the image in a more controlled way, as a typical shot gets cropped and resized in different ways across different formats.

Captured during a downpour while waiting for the light to change at an intersection in Atlantic City, NJ.

The job search is going pretty well, my husband has an interview tomorrow. It's looking like several more companies are interested, so more interviews will be scheduled soon. As for my own job search...it's going. I actually applied for a photographer job, taking pics of kids at preschools...we'll see how that goes!

Have a great day!

The fifteenth person I am posting about is the exceptional photographer, Jingna Zhang. I think her model photography is among one of the best here on Flickr or anywhere else. Her work is flawless and elegant. I truly admire her ability to capture beauty and present it to us in a way that leaves me speechless. I dont know what more I could say but this, you must MUST visit her photostream! :D

Parque do Ibirapuera - São Paulo SP - Brasil.

YAY. Today is my first anniversary on Flickr.

Little did I know HOW much my life would change within this one year. Soooo many things happened during this year.

Went to the beautiful city of Paris, photographed my first paid job, split up with my girlfriend (the first I ever lived together with), appeared on the Explore Frontpage, got two job offers of which I accepted the one in Tirol, had my first Flickr romance, moved to Austria, Tirol (for sure one of the most beautiful countries in the world - at least according to my taste), got a mail from Getty Images (with some chance I will start selling some of my images in march)

and most importantly: I MADE FANTASTIC NEW FRIENDS THROUGH FLICKR!!!

YOU are the best! I thank you so much for all your lovely messages, comments and encouragement!

So before I get all sentimental I'll stop writing...

Once again: THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

This is a lego wall. The children can put up the lego letters in any way they want. Notice the FLICKR letters? Coincidence??

This year felt like all work and no play for me, but at least the dream of having my own doll line has finally come through so at least I'm slaving away doing what I love! :)

I was rather surprised at this years statistics. Most faved pic was a sneak peek of the accessory pack shoes and most viewed a pic request snap shot of Inro wearing the Dust colour variation of Vertebrata gown. Didn't see those coming. Most comments came from people congratulating me on Mirrorball OOAK winning the DOLLS Industry's Choice Award - thank you for all who voted for my doll in the public's choice round! My personal face is the blowing-a-kiss-pose of Cherub. I love it as a picture and also love the doll so much I kept one for myself. It's so seldom I get to keep anything I make she is really special to me. :)

Thank you so much for the passing year. I really look forward to what the next year brings!

it is unaware to me how people get explored. i have wanted to be since i started my account and yesterday i thought i would put what i was thinking in my photography. So....this is my thinking:

-they like people in nice clothing..i guess.

-they like interesting things..so i put my eye glasses in front.

-my lenses of coarse i thought had to be there.

-my computer represents flickr(go mac)

-and then a photoshop book i am reading(i never read that book though)

hope ya'll like it.

So! Imagine had this idea to build Rapture from Bioshock. At a CoWLUG meeting he showed me the part he had built (not shown), and I offered to help get it done in time for Brickworld.

After playing Bioshock (for the first time) for a few minutes to get a feel for the city, I worked on the ocean floor [while he worked on the ocean ceiling]. That's pretty much everything you see here, obviously. So, when you see Rapture at Brickworld, I did the sand! :D

Big daddy/little sister are Imagine's, though. Sorry they're not in focus. :(

Trans red round 1x1 brick, with the hue changed.

No more changes... just stop it right now... it's not cute or funny anymore... leave us alone to enjoy what we loyal (not to mention paying) flickr users have built over the years.. a community...

Cast your suspicious eyes over the large version if you dare. Try to avoid all black cats, ladders and wonky mirrors for the next 24hours and I'll see you all safe and sound on the 14th! :))
