I have to say that the highlight of my recent road trip to Canada was my brief stop on the way back in Asheville, NC, and visiting my good friend Lamoreaux. I didn't get to spend as much time as I would have liked but hanging out with Bill was what I had been looking forward to. I have met some great people here on flickr and it's people like you who make this a great place to hang out at.

My older flickr friends know HOW my Nature-Lover self just adores the Belgian Autumn !!

Because , when I start strolling within my beloved Château de La Hulpe wonderland, especially in Autumn, I feel this immediate upliftment!! I feel this magical oxygen, not only filling my heart and my brain, but also my soul and my spirit!!! I am surrounded by a Paradise site, where humans and animals are SO happy!! Smiling humans of all ages, happy and healthy doggies and all sort of birds!!

You can clearly see the expression of this upliftment of mine on my Autumn captures , now and in the past!! This time I present you some lucky beautiful ducks, creating colourful paintings amidst their multicoloured natural habitat within the exuberant Belgian Autumn!!!

The Snowy Egret breeding habitat is large inland and coastal wetlands from the lower Great Lakes and southwestern United States to South America. The breeding range in eastern North America extends along the Atlantic and Gulf Coasts from Maine to Texas, and inland along major rivers and lakes.

They nest in colonies, often with other waders, usually on platforms of sticks in trees or shrubs. Their flat, shallow nests are made of sticks and lined with fine twigs and rushes. Three to four greenish-blue, oval eggs are incubated by both adults. The young leave the nest in 20 to 25 days and hop about on branches near the nest before finally departing.

In warmer locations, some Snowy Egrets are permanent residents; northern populations migrate to Central America and the West Indies. They may wander north after the breeding season, very rarely venturing to western Europe—the first bird sighted in Britain wintered in Scotland from 2001–2002.

This is my 2000th image on flickr. Over the past few days I was actually thinking about which picture to upload to celebrate the occasion. When I walked past these tree trunks, neatly stacked and peeled and obviously marked with the flickr colors the choice was made.
