Durant la sortida del diumenge aquest preciós exemplar de papallona va captar la nostra atenció durant bastant estona, ja que encara que volava esgotada, estava molt inquieta . Al final ens va permetre captar tota la seva bellesa.

ESP:

Durante la salida del domingo este precioso ejemplar de mariposa captó nuestra atención durante bastante rato, ya que aunque volaba agotada, estaba muy inquieta . Al final nos permitió captar toda su belleza.

This is my 2000th image on flickr. Over the past few days I was actually thinking about which picture to upload to celebrate the occasion. When I walked past these tree trunks, neatly stacked and peeled and obviously marked with the flickr colors the choice was made.

The Flickr Lounge-A Sign Of The Times.

This Boat Shop is a repair shop for large boats. People also store their boats here over the winter. This is the first time this year I've seen boats sitting out front of the shop. I suspect they will be checked and tuned up for the up-coming boating season.

This enduring form, sited at Prospect Park, explores themes of labor, domesticity, community, and play, while encouraging hands on exploration and serving as gathering points for conversations about the impact of caregiving."

When the shelter picked Bentley up, they were told the owner "forgot" about him. He was in a small kennel in her garage, covered in his own poo, weighing only 28 pounds. Once at the shelter, it took 3 baths to get him "clean," and even then his white fur was still yellow. As soon as I saw his photo online, I wanted him. The look in his eyes was so scared, but so gentle. We met him at the shelter a few times, because he couldn't be released right away. He had been used as a "breeder" in the garage-puppy mill, and was un-neutered. He also had open woulds from the kennel wires, was missing chunks of hair on one hip and was so bony that his ribs & hips protruded sharply.

When we finally got him home, he was too scared to come out of the front hallway. It took weeks for him to walk around the first floor of our house. He was even scared to eat. Over time, being ever so patient and quiet, he began to relax and come out of his shell. Almost 10 months later, he is one of the sweetest, most gentle dogs I have known. He wants to be where our family is and adores getting attention. He allows the almost 3 year old to play all over and around him and they are so cute to watch together. I am so thankful that we got him and I truly think Bentley is happy that we did, too. Oh, and now he weighs about 50 pounds ;)

I always wanted to do a kind of 4 season shot from this point but I also always kinda forget about it ... I hope with this project I'll get at least 4 good ones from my favorite tree.
