Trio of Shots of Dead Man's Fingers Rum

Ladies' Walk is shown on maps of Lancaster in the 18th and 19th centuries as a broad tree-lined footpath east of Skerton Bridge. It was cut off by the Midland Railway line to Green Ayre Station from 1849 to 1966. Now there is again a walk there, the bike path up to Crook O'Lune. And it even has a signpost saying it is Ladies' Walk. Early on a Sunday morning, it was busy with bikes, and a few dog-walkers. This lady gave her permission to be in the photo.

This Kodak Vigilant camera evokes childhood memories for me. My Dad, who turned 97 in March, was a photographer. Although I picked up this camera at a garage sale, he had a similar model. He taught me how to develop and print film photographs, but honestly I wasn't a very good student. I did, however, think it was magic when an image appeared on what looked to me like a blank piece of paper.
