Hiding...
and waiting patiently for it's turn to be fed.
I am not sure how many fledglings there are but this little one been left alone for quite a while.
Got up this morning to find the nest box in my garden had fallen from the tree. Inside was this little chap, It could fly a little and after a couple of shots I left in the bushes at the bottom of the garden. Shortly after one of the parent birds found it and started to feed it.
This fledgling was found in a condominium complex’s garden. It’s parents came to feed it, putting on quite a show for the kids playing nearby. The bird disappeared a day later, we can only hope that it followed the parent birds away to safer havens...
I finally managed to get one out in the open this year. This Youngster was the only one I could pinpoint from the calls to the Adults.

I think these are sparrow fledglings. Old cast iron cauldron pot...textured.
I have been absent due to reading a lot. Will catch up on your wonderful images a little at a time. Stay well, my friends.
There seems to be a never ending stream of baby sparrows !
This one giving its' mum a gentle reminder that it's still hungry.
This was hard to miss, given the commotion the babies made begging for food! If it had sat still and quiet, I probably would have overlooked it.
This fledgling made it safely to a tree and stayed there for many hours. Some heavy winds required this fledgling to hang on tightly.
I'd only just fitted up this perch for the birds in my garden to pose for me on and straight away this little Starling Fledgling had to test it out for me. Thank you Starling, it seems to work just fine.
Well, of course, I didn't only take one photo! ;-)
Can see a bit of that red tail here!

Spotted flycatchers
The nest was empty on my check this afternoon and the fledglings were calling from at least four locations so I guess they were still ok :-)
One of the cons of photographing from a blind is that birds are too comfortable with my presence and literally falling asleep at the front of my camera 😬

I could hear the adults calling the young Kingfishers, my guess is that they are the second brood and had only just fledged as there were some other youngsters in very much the same area earlier in the summer.
It is a shame that the branch is in front of it but it didn't matter where I stood there was something in the way.
