Recently I received this faux leather jacket, and I thought it's a good opportunity to show how I make my flasks. I used a piece of a sleeve with the zipper in it, but a plane piece of material will do as well. The only two dimensions you need to take is the length from the bottle neck to the bottom plus half of the bottle thickness, and the second one is the length around the bottle. Try your material for how much it stretch and make the allowances. First of all, sew the bottom part of wrapping as shown on the picture (pull the material corners inside) and then sew all the way up to the top. Use any seam you prefer, there's a lot of tutorials on the internet. Then push together the leather near the bottle neck and mark the future seam. Then sew it. Insert eyelets and attach the strap and here it is. Usually, I remove all the labels from the bottle but in these case where we have the zipper in front of flask I thought it would be a good idea to left it all there so that you could strip the faux leather off and discover more about what inside. And yes it was a bottle of vodka.
I decided to retouch an old image. I did the best that I could. I believe I took this in 2012 so ive improved a lot since, however I still for some reason love this shot.

It's often cold at games. The beer is expensive, but I'd like to relax and take off the edge. I got this leather wrapped flask at Eddie Bauer about 6 years ago. I usely go with Cognac or for this game, Bacardi Rum.
Leather wrapped stainless steel flask in Heritage pattern. Colors are red and white with an antique black wash. The flask is hand-laced up the back. Holds 8oz. Approximately 4" x 5.75"

In 1689 six acres of waste land that contained certain medicinal waters were given by the Hon Susanna Noel on behalf of her son the Earl of Gainsborough for the benefit of the poor of Hampstead. The land to the east of Hampstead village and the spring from the Heath ran down to form a small pool. In 1700 the trustees of the charity came up with the idea to sell these “medicinal” waters at threepence a flask. Collected the water was taken to the Flask (then the Thatched House) where it was bottled and sent to taverns and coffee houses in London.
For some time, the Flask was known as the Lower Flask to distinguish it from the Upper Flask where the Kit Kat Club met. The Upper Flask, being a grander establishment, had a different type of person to the “second rate characters” found at the Lower Flask. It didn’t stop the Flask flourishing. It retained its original thatched state until 1874 when it was replaced by today’s building. Young & Co bought the pub in 1904.
(July 14, 2017) In these modern times, the old 5oz hip flask has been retired, and the 64oz hippy flask is the hip vessel!
I did a photoshoot in my bath tub of a flower in a science flask thing, and these are just some of the results.
