Here I decided to use black ink of varying dilution along with wax in order to paint a conical flask. Ink does not absorb into a certain area of paper if there is wax on it so wax was used to keep areas white.
Our friend Brenda has this tradition of taking a picture of her flask (which she keeps filled with fine Irish whiskey) whenever she hikes to some pretty place and sending it to her best friend Susie, who some years ago moved away, along with the words "Wish you were here." Anyway, in this spot the flask had a nice reflection on it so I snapped a shot too.

This is a moon flask (pilgrim flask) that I made during the free classes at the Sharon Art Studio, at the same time as the other moon flask. Junior year, 2001.
This side has an ouroborous surrounding an hourglass. So the symbol of eternity around a symbol of time.
