1000 ml Flask (and yeast starter); A yeast starter, combined with a yeast nutrient and well oxigenated wort will almost always guarantee a quick start. Also good to test viability of yeast before pitching, or when using liquid yeast past its expiration.
My first foray with a jeweler's saw! I made a copper rooster with a jeweler's saw, and etched cogs into it. I gave it a dark patina, and then polished the high points to bring out the design. I'm pretty excited by it! I can't wait to make more things with my new saw. Inspired by the character Rooster Cogburn from True Grit.
strobist: 285HV directly behind subject into an umbrella and through white butcher paper for further diffusion at 1/4 power. Another 285 to the right into an umbrella at 1/16 and black card to the left.
