Recent Outdoor Flash shoot, edited using a combination of Lightroom and Photoshop CS6.
Single strobe, full power at around 105mm to give that shallow tunnel of light, triggered with pocket wizard.

Second attempt at off camera flash with 7d. Black background seems to be much harder than white and I had to play with the levels in Lightroom to avoid shadows. Two flashes - 430 EX II as fill flash at 3 o'oclock and one Yn 568 at 7 oclock and elevated. Had to hide the 7d pre flash as it was causing a reflection.
This section of the aqueduct is in the Mojave Desert, which is prone to flash floods. This narrow concrete structure goes across the aqueduct and allows flood waters from one side of the aqueduct to spill over to the other side and not enter the aqueduct water.

I was snapping sunset pics the other evening and when I put them on my computer, I saw GREEN! Just dumb luck, but pretty cool.

Went to St Albans hoping to see their Celebrity Kingfisher which apparently comes so close that even I couldn't fail to get a shot. Only it didn't show up, but I did get the backside of a swan :(
Don't like kingfishers anyway, all that orange and blue - ghastly colours she says, sulking.

Un colore ancora più raro, tuttavia, può esserci dopo il verde, ovvero l'azzurro, che compare dopo il verde esclusivamente quando l'aria è particolarmente pulita da far vedere questo splendido colore.
This phenomenon is closely related to the little more common green ray, is caused by the refraction of the sun's rays in the atmosphere that make us see a vertical color spectrum, i.e. the colors of the spectrum disappear one by one behind the horizon starting from red, following the other colors down to green, for just over a second.
An even rarer color, however, can be after green, or blue, which appears after green only when the air is particularly clean to show this splendid color.

Common Assassin Bugs (Pristhesancus plagipennis) have the long head with powerful proboscis. They use the powerful proboscis to puncture their prey. Their legs are long so that they have long attack distance. Adult bugs are brown in colour with transparent wings. Nymphs are dark brown to black with brightly orange abdomens.

A nice morning at Forresters beach the other day. Colours both in the sky and in the water were great! Haven't been out with my flash in a while so I decided to head out, now I don't want to stop shooting in the water as the sun rises :)

Another shot of this bull walking across the road. Normally I try to keep all manmade objects out of my pictures, but, I kind if liked the way this one turned out.
I just heard that Fairbanks has snow. Two weeks early. Was 38 degrees the other morning. Raining and 42 degrees today, so, it won't be long before we start getting snow.
