This was one very friendly blackbird. So much so that he hopped into the car with me when I opened the door. As cute as it was it does concern me somewhat when wildlife and birds become that comfortable with humans as it usually means someone has been feeding them and usually not something they should be having
After the sun set the sky was still bright and the foreground trees were brightened by the street light in the park..I experimented and used flash to hightlight them further.. Sept. 16 on explore @223
A crested pigeon in late afternoon sunlight showing off the iridescence on the wings. In taking this shot, I got down as low as I could using the official Ben Dover method and accidentally held up some people driving through the car park I was in who saw me attempting to take some shots across the carpark itself. Very kind of them to stop and wait - turned out to be photographers themselves!
This was taken in Port Pirie and I have never seen quite so many of these crested pigeons in one location before.

Certains se demanderont certainement "pourquoi cette manie du N&B partiel à base de rouge ?".
La réponse est difficile à faire vraiment comprendre sur le plan perceptif... Car c'est au plan perceptif que ça se passe.
Mais pour faire simple, ce titre est assez éloquent. Quand une couleur flashe dans mon regard, ça donne ce genre d'impression...
Et ce genre de photo. Dont acte.
Spotted at Sprotbrough Flash the other day. For nice we were lucky, we only arrived at the hide five minutes before the Kingfisher appeared whilst the others who saw it had waited a couple of hours for it to turn up.
A male Anna Hummingbird perches on a snow tipped branch on a bitter cold day and begins flashing his iridescent colors for me. Well, so I'd like to think it was for me! lol
