Buona serata

series: land of free
What it means? It refers to a country called photograpy. by doing what I want, without the greed for "likes", just for myself and with others.
This series is dedicated to an open data world in which we own our data and not facebook, google, a government or any other ...
Will is enjoying a clump of pumpkin. I think this stringy variety is their favorite. I gave the Wright-Locke goats a few of them today, as the farm has a big pile of them that were dropped off by patrons. The goats get very excited for them!
After a 3 day absence...:Flash" came home again...I think he was out looking for a "Special Mate "...lol...we got up to 4 inches of new snow also...I was down taking photos of him...and I always talk to my friend...If my neighbors see me by the brushpile..in the woods...(what appears to them that I am talking to myself)....I am afraid they may call "The Crazy Bus "...to "Happy Hollow "....lol....
Below...Snooping for more "Freebies."...and his "Brushpile"....
Let's get it out of the way. Let's be boldfaced about it. Er, wait, that was italicized. Trying again...
Let's be boldfaced about it.
Flowers. Are. Sexy.
They just are. You glimpse a flower, you see hints, tastes, touches of... well, other things. Naughty bits. Pink parts. Sweet spots.
Like in this photo, someone's pulling back the white sheet to show off her...
Uhh, tentacles, I guess. And they're not pink, but they're yellow. Like egg yolk.
Um. Well. Er.
Maybe flowers aren't sexy? Uhhh. Gotta go!
Single LP180 Strobe used to light subject and to freeze the motion. Flash is visible in bottom right of the frame and is unmodified. Triggered with the on-camera flash firing with the rear-curtain.

After meeting an empty unit train at Elton, MRL 355 gets back on the move with the Bozeman Turn. It's late in the evening so things are pretty dark out here, save for the moment when my shutter was open.

Welp here it is!
The past week has been a bucketload of fun.
I had to research these guys, come up with my own ideas, and put them into lego form!
There is exactly 26 figures in this lineup, and if I had one more, I probably wouldn't have been able to include it.

Tell me which is your fave and why!
I might have some action shots coming, or even some edits, so look out for those.
Finally, story time.
I took the pano yesterday, and it looked freaking stellar, not gonna lie. But then, after I had toppled down the figs, I realized I had forgotten to put ACCELERATED MAN in! So then I had to reset all 26 figs up, and retake the pano. Oy!
Thanks for reading and following me on my flash week journey!

That's what you get for bouncing flash off a tree branch on a winter's day, the wind is blowing sleet onto your camera lens and spectacles. All part of the never ending learning curve of photography for me!
Macro Mondays theme: Monday, September 18th theme - then and now, before and after, yesterday and today...
Tried a few things for this theme after rumaging through my little box of memorabilia - ie "STUFF" - my biggest problem was to get into the "3-inch rule" limit. Had to use a ruler to make sure I cropped to the 3" limit.
This image has a my old iPhone, an older flash and something you may not recognize - a disposable Flash Cube. These compact little pieces were developed in the 1960's by Kodak for their Instamatic series of cameras and with an adapter you could actually use them on SLR's. I tried to include the adapter, but couldn't get it in because of the 3" rule.
Happy Macro Monday to all ...
As it was snowing quite a bit today, I decided to play with the Yongnuo YN685 as I don't do a lot of flash photography.
I grabbed the turkey feathers that I gathered over the summer and grabbed a shot of them bouncing the flash off the ceiling at 1/32 power.
